Rhaenicent Vacation AU

Alicent planned the trip months in advance but things fall apart quickly on the car ride there. Their seven kids are either arguing with each other or complaining the entire way there with the exception of Helaena.

They arrive to the hotel and Alicent believes everything will be fine the next day when they get to the park. The opposite actually.

The kids are somehow even more angry at each other as they park into Magic Kingdom. Then Aegon and Jace angrily exclaim that they are not leaving the car. Rhaenyra who has been silently driving the family around the entire trip, finally snaps. She goes into a huge rant about how “We’re gonna have fun today, okay!!! If you have any problems you are fixing them right now in this car because Disney is the happiest place on Earth and happiness took a lot to plan!!!”

The kids go silent but eventually, they forget the outburst when they see the characters at the entrance. Alicent is both shocked but also very attracted to her wife right now, meanwhile, Rhaenyra just wants to angrily chomp on funnel cake.

I think the funniest thing is if Rhaenyra and Alicent were actually lovers during that ten year period, one of their kids would probably figure it out but no one would believe them.

Real talk: I genuinely think that Rhaenyra’s gaslighting level is god-tier. I’m rewatching some clips and like she’s defending her sons’ legitimacy, to people who know, completely wholeheartedly. Like she is very genuine about insisting that it’s all lies to someone like Laenor. I’m convinced she honestly gaslit herself. I respect how far she got to convince herself. God-tier level no notes.

So I think we can all to some extent believe that the dragons understand their riders both because of their bond and the Targaryens speaking High Valyrian. That being said, do you guys think the dragons understand when the Targaryens refer to themselves as dragons? If so do you guys think they get offended??? Cause they have to drive around these white-haired weirdos everywhere + be their flying nukes for every conflict and they have the nerve to call themselves dragons.
