It's the motto of the Prometheus Society.
This is part of a Latin quotation from Roman Stoic philosopher and statesman, Seneca. It reads in full "ignis aurum probat, miseria fortes homines", in English translation, "as gold is tempered by fire, so strong men are tempered by suffering". The meaning is that to become pure gold, the original gold-bearing ore must go through the tempering process of fire; the analogy being that for a man strong in spirit, adversity and suffering are the tempering agents necessary to refine his character and bring out his true potential.

Hi! Welcome to my blog! My name’s Eunice but please call me En! I mostly write for fun! As my header states, I am 26, INTP, cis female who has ADHD, and my big three happens to be aquarius sun/scorpio moon/gemini rising. Though I do have a tendency to poof in and out, I usually lurk around tumblr reblogging stuff! I also do edits but its more or less just for personal fun and I occasionally draw.
Most of the content found here on my blog happens to be self-shipping stuff and other wacky things that I just end up reblogging and stuff.
