Arting to the Whims of my Fickle Mind

@loupy-mongoose

Fair Warning--This blog contains themes of death, as well as occational spiritual/religeous themes. I also intend on sharing Christian music on Wednesdays if I'm able to. Check out my Pinned Post if you have questions, as a lot of answers are provided there! Thanks for the visit!

Hello, welcome to my blog! Where I draw often and ramble about my characters. Please know and respect that I have hyper-fixations, and may change what I'm interested in.

If the links don't work for you, click and drag them to your URL bar. You should be able to use them that way.

CHRONO LINKS:

If it was done correctly, THIS should be the main body of the story in one Chrono link.

General:

Specific Story Focuses (Sorted Chronologically):

Lab Arc (HEAVY SUBJECT MATTER and IMPLIED DEATH WARNING toward the end!))

By Lavender's Hand (Randy's "Ghostification"--DEATH WARNING toward the end!)

Please read THIS If you're lost on their relations,and THIS for a rundown of Randall's situation.

My ToyHouse Characters page, where you can look at my characters' profiles! (A lot of stuff is a work in progress.) Names below also link to their specific pages.

My blog is home to the story Linden Roots. Randall Linden was once human, but through a horrific mishap, his memories were taken in by his friend, a Mew named Mo. Mo, having his own memories overwritten by Randy's, now lives Randy's life in his place.

Randy lives in Paldea with his shiny Mew Mate/Wife Akoya, her Mewtwo daughter Lavender, their twin Mew children Momo and Midas, and Akoya's half-brother Persim. Others in the household include Sulfur the shiny Lucario, Linda the shiny Roserade, Tol the shiny Chimecho, and Jerry the Pichu.

While he and his family are generally friendly and open to questions, Randy is sensitive about the events surrounding him becoming a Mew.

I do want to warn that this story touches on heavy and potentially uncomfortable subjects. I appreciate interaction, but please respect my artistic decisions. Thank you!

If you'd like to read the story of getting Akoya IRL, click here.

Voice Claims with samples here if anyone's interested. :3

This project is meant to be for fun, primarily my own. I will not be able to answer every question, and will prioritize the ones I find most fun, interesting, or an immediate concern. (Or, on some occasions, use answers as foreshadowing :3)

If anyone's interested, I also have a Twitter and a DeviantART, though I haven't been very active on them recently.

Because people have asked me before, I currently have no interest in doing commissions.

Sooo...

I have an arc I want to do...

It's a future arc, taking place sometime after the Lindens leave Kanto. I haven't decided when yet, though, so what I'm thinking is that I'll reblog this to ToVaJ later when I find a place it fits. (Or I'll make a new post of the comic pages so it doesn't have this big ugly message lol)

~~~~~~
I have no idea if I'll stay on this for a while or if I'll put it aside to do main story stuff. So enjoy the ride as it comes, I guess. XD
Ok so
I wanted to draw some fanart for @loupy-mongoose because I really like their series and characters.
I was gonna do Randy originally because I really like him as a character, but I jus cannot draw his design well at all lol
(I'm not upset at anyone for this, the design's complex and my art skills are not nearly good enough yet for it lol)
But I still wanted to draw someone a lot, so I drew Momo cus I like them a lot as well
They mischievous
(I apologize if it's not the best still, but I tried my best to make it look good.)
(Also check out Linden Roots, Loupy's stories are really cool.)
(Also sorry for the lack of colour, I do not have the right shade of colored pencil for em)
Aww, lil Momo!
Very cute! Thank you! ^^
Well... Got a doozy of a project to share.
I got hooked on a particular song, and fell into doing something of a comic-animatic for it... ALL of it...
I didn't mean to do all of it, there are a few repeating parts that I meant to omit. But then my brain said "Okay but what if you put this in there instead?"
The song is a Christian song, and I recognize and respect that of it, BUT... it's lyrics happen to fit really well into the stages of Jamie's life until present and how she feels about her loved ones, and can be taken in an entirely non-Christian way.
Anyway...
On with the feels...
So Jamie's concussion came from her brother's Rapidash trying to protect him from Jamie. But then why does Jamie fear Scyther out of many bug types? Did the scientists use them to test Jamie's weaknesses? Or do the blades on Scyther remind her of scalpels?
Avatar
I'd say the major factor in why Jamie's afraid of one and not the other is the outcome of her encounters.
Rapidash: -Badly hurt her by accident -Found out it was owned by her brother she didn't know she had -Went on to live a much better life because of it
Scyher: -Badly hurt her on purpose (with intent to kill) -Lost someone dear to her -A second one badly hurt someone dear to her
A prompt came up on the server.
She's practicing for Halloween. :>
And then hugs were demanded.
I expected as much. My post got eated.
It's not a main story part or anything, but I worked super hard on it and love it a lot, so here's the link!
Different stage? Seems like you've redesigned Jamie a bit. Care to share?
Hoo boy...
Ready for a mouthful?
This "different stage" is the very earliest draft of Jamie's story. Before Ash Heart, I think even before Clover were a part of it. I personally call it the "Cringe beginning", but I understand that people are trying to phase out that kind of thinking, so I shall instead take it for what it is; the seed buried underground that has blossomed into what it is today.
So, originally, Jamie was my Trainersona, and as such her name took after my handle; she was Jamie Wolf instead of Jamie Wild, and went by Wolf. (I don't think "Jamie" was even part of her name yet, actually.)
In the ollllldest reaches of the beginning, it was just Jamie--or Wolf--and her brother Jordan. I believe they were living in Cerulean City, and for some reason Mewtwo turned Jamie into a Mightyena. ('Cause that was THE wolf-mon to me at the time, I don't think I knew they were actually hyenas yet.) And then somehow, she turned back to a human but was more of a were-creature, able to switch between the two. If I remember right, anyway.
Eventually Cody came into the picture, and like today, they were meant to become a couple (and fun fact, the fact that Jamie was my trainersona is important to what their relationship became). Now.... he was eventually turned into a Ninetales. Hence, the name Rennard.
As the story tumbled around in my young little head, things obviously changed. Eventually I changed Jamie's name to Wild, made it so she turned into a Zoroark when I realized her looks matched it. (She actually started out with yellow eyes, and I changed them to blue because A: it looks better with the red; B: because of the newly decided Zoroark thing; and C: because it fit her icy personality.) Later, instead of being a were-Zoroark, I decided she was just part Zoroark. And I completely wiped the Cody turning into a Ninetales thing.
And then I started a Soul Silver Nuzlocke in 2012, and I slotted the characters into it.
According to the original note document, the Nuzlocke story was still vastly different. The notes still have her going by "Wolf", and I see nothing about Rose (Jamie's sister-in-law) at all in them. Cody, still being in the place of Silver, was a lot more like Silver character-wise and was evidently not a major part of the story as he doesn't show up in the notes much after the first battle.
And Pari was going to be Jamie's companion. And was Skylar the Togepi/tic/kiss' daughter. Because Skylar was actually a Mew pretending to be a Togepi. (I actually kinda regret changing that fact. It would be fun to have Sky actually be a Mew. XD Poor Sky got the short end of the character development stick because of that original idea.)
Eventually, the story morphed into what it is today.
I value the old iterations for what they got going, but I'm still very glad that I changed it into what it is before I attempted making it public. ^^
