As the third sun sets, Matthew reunites with Begonia, clueless of the fate that has just fallen upon the Delphox he had just formed an alliance with.
"Geez, you look like you've been through a lot. What exactly have you gotten yourself into? Hold still. I think I can fix this."
Matthew gently rests his paws on Begonia's wounds and uses Heal Pulse to heal up the bulk of the injury, before using the medical supplies Begonia had somehow gotten ahold of to dress her wounds up.
"There we go. That should help. How are you feeling now?"

While exploring, Matthew stumbles across a cloud of weird fog. Not particularly curious, he turns around and heads off into the other direction. Probably for the best, as it was a cloud of poisonous gas. Could he have stumbled upon the limits of the grounds? Was this going to be a problem later? Who put this there?

It takes a good few minutes before Matthew remembers Nick actually lives in a tree house. Matthew has no idea what he's gotten himself into.
