I'm in bed in a bedroom that's all mine! I haven't had a bedroom at all in three years and haven't had one to myself in four years. There's no word for this very specific feeling. It's nice.
The move is well underway. It's great having all week to do it. That's about as leisurely as moving gets. That plus staying in the same building, I basically just load stuff into a utility wagon, pull it to the elevator, then down the hall. Still sleeping in the studio for now, but we're moving the beds on Friday or Saturday.
I'm only working two nights this week, and probably won't do any sim stuff. I should post on my CC blog that I'm on a brief hiatus. Between this and being sick all April, I feel like I've barely finished anything. And Pride approaches, so I need to get that stuff ready.

I don't remember his name. This was January 2001, playing The Sims. He was blond. That's all I can remember. He died pretty quickly, of guinea pig disease. I felt awful about it. That's probably why I've always been pretty good to my sims, because of the tragedy of that first sim, way back when I was 18.
Thinking some more about it, was his name Herman? That might have been it. I'm probably wrong. This was a million years ago.
I opened my laptop for the first time in like a week...and wound up playing a time management game I was hooked on in like 2006.

hey simmers reblog this and tell me what's your main sims game AND what's your go-to non-sims comfort game? for example i'm a ts2 simmer but my absolute comfort game is batman: arkham asylum.
Sims 2 is my main sims game. Non-sims comfort game? I play phone games incessantly, but that's kinda more like stimming. I play Oregon Trail when I'm too stressed out to do much else, so I guess that?
I got the key to my new apartment a week earlier than I was expecting to! I meant to bring my measuring tape to be sure the furniture will fit where I'm planning. Not like it's far away though. (I'm moving downstairs in the same building.)
Sims have it easy, with their floors gridded. And they don't have annoyances like where the outlets are. Still, I'm looking forward to settling in to the new space, especially because I have over a week to move everything in.
I'm feeling almost back to allergy season normal. The bronchitis rattle has been gone for a few days. But with the move coming up, I haven't been in the headspace for anything TS2. Bleh.

She's one of my CC models. I need to redo her though. I'm cuter than that.
I'm breathing better today (the bronchitis rattle seems to be mostly gone?) than I was the last couple of days, but I'm tiiiiiiired. Part of that is it's almost the end of my workweek. Dunno if I'm gonna do any CC work tonight. Might be too sleepy.
I should probably just say I'm taking May off, but there might be something at some point. I have no idea, and it doesn't really bother me if there isn't.

The only other games I play are ancient stuff like Oregon Trail and SimAnt, and crappy phone games like Candy Crush Soda. I haven't owned a console since PS1.

If I open my laptop tonight, I think I will start working on my Pride stuff. I have two conversions planned, but I'll do more if time allows.
I'm still sick. Erg. If things aren't turning around by Monday, I'll probably call my doctor.
Two weeks until we move apartments. Yipe.
I suddenly had an intense urge to start my Pride month projects. I should really finish any of my umpteen WIP's.
There might not be anything new on my CC blog for a bit. We're moving on the 18th. Bronchitis has been a huge setback for packing and cleaning. So we'll see what, if anything, I finish and post before then.
I got the previews for the Ikea cat bed done! I'll probably wait and post it tomorrow.
I'm still not 100% thrilled with the textures, but I love how it looks in the shelving with other stuff around it.
