This was supposed to be a short little joke. (Yes, someone should explain those words to me.) It turned out to be more of a practice. Practice of pretty much everything.

#went back to this one for a qrt on bsky #this is basically the first real comic i've ever drawn and finished for fun i think #laughing at the fact that i wasn't much of a shipper back in AC days but these two were making my hands itch the whole time #i loved them SO MUCH #still remember how insanely proud and excited i was about these pages #and still feel 'what' about how old it is and think that it's still one of the best comics i've drawn to date #what the hell #hahah #also wtf all that eyeballed perspective with pencil lol #i had no idea what vanishing points were back then #sigh

Twenty years ago, February 15th, 2004, I got married for the first time.

It was twenty years earlier than I ever expected to.

To celebrate/comemorate the date, I'm sitting down to write out everything I remember as I remember it. No checking all the pictures I took or all the times I've written about this before. I'm not going to turn to my husband (of twenty years, how the f'ing hell) to remember a detail for me.

This is not a 100% accurate recounting of that first wild weekend in San Francisco. But it -is- a 100% accurate recounting of how I remember it today, twenty years after the fact.

Oh my gosh, I'm delighted to hear that! While I don't draw FF15 anymore, those four hold a special place in my heart. They helped me find peace, when I was trying to figure stuff about my art out. They got me back into comic drawing after two years long break when I'd thought I wouldn't draw a single panel ever again.

Knowing somebody goes back to these and knowing they still bring as much joy to you as they did to me back then...

Man. That ~~hits the spot~~ means a lot.
