Things that are important to know about my blog:

  • I am unfamiliar with just about everything related to DPxDC, and I do not foresee myself becoming involved in it any time soon. This goes for ask games too! There are other creators out there far more talented than I that will do your DPxDC needs justice!
  • On that note, please do not tag any of my original posts or creations as DPxDC.
  • For ask games, just about all characters and ships from DP are fair game! This includes rarepairs and crack ships!
  • THINGS/SHIPS I WILL NOT CREATE FOR: adult/minor ships (even if both characters are appropriately aged up/down); portrayals of abuse/torture; anything involving self-harm and/or suicide; gore
  • I will do my best to tag potential triggers, but if I neglect to tag something, please feel free to reach out to me and let me know! I am only human, and some things will inevitably slip by me.
  • I cannot guarantee this blog will be SFW and/or minor-friendly. Just about everything I reblog/make is PG-13 max, but this is not a hard and fast rule I stand by. Tread with caution!

This isn't a knock against people who write fics where Jack and Maddie disown Danny due to his powers, but I find them needing to face their prejudice to be more interesting and in character. For all of their faults, Jack and Maddie love their kids and would be willing to risk anything to protect them. I also think that Danny learning that his parents will accept him for who he really is will lead to Danny stressing about one less thing in life since he already has a lot on his plate.

Plus, even if the two accept Danny, there's the story opportunity of Danny helping his parents realize that not all ghosts are bad and that they can research ghosts without hunting and experimenting on them.

I feel like next to Vlad, Skulker is a contender for Danny's arch nemesis. The way their relationship evolved over the series is actually pretty fun. I love how offended Danny is when it seems like Skulker is ignoring him in Secret Weapons.

One of my favorite moments between them is that one episode where Danny points out a new weapon Skulker has and he gets- visibly excited? to the point where his entire voice changes for a brief moment before going back to being all menacing.

Although having the same villain show up over and over again can be repetitive, I do wish the show did more with them being forced to work together or their "hunts" becoming a little more playful, like a very slow "enemies to friends" burn.

Or maybe not friends and more like...enemies who have friendly banter I guess?

What is Invisobang, and how does it work?

Invisobang is a collaborative event between authors and artists. Authors write a new fic that meets a minimum word count of 5000 words (no maximum). Halfway through the event, artists review anonymous profiles of these fics and select their favourites. Authors and artists are then paired together on a first-come, first-serve basis. While authors finish writing, artist create art for their claimed fic. Everything is posted at the end of the event in a big bang of content.

What do artists need to know?

  • All artists are welcome regardless of skill level.
  • All artists must be able to make either illustration, animatic, or music, but other art forms are allowed if your author agrees.
  • Art must be made new for the bang.
