I'm from Gaza... and I only dream of a life without hunger or fear

In Gaza, we do not live as other people do, but try to survive every day. The siege is getting harsher, the crossings are closed, and the aid is not up. But the worst thing now is that we are facing the specter of famine, where bakeries are closed and there is no longer bread for the majority of the population.

Imagine waking up every day not knowing if you would find food for you and your family. Imagine seeing children crying from hunger, and you can't do anything. This is not a scene from a tragic movie, but our daily reality.

It is no longer just bombing and destruction, but a slow war that suffocates us with hunger and disease. Electricity is cut off most of the time, water is not drinkable, and hospitals are without equipment or medicines. Our lives have become an endless series of struggle for the most basic rights: food, water, and medicine.

I am a young man from Gaza, looking for an opportunity to live away from this hell. I don't want to be just another number in the hunger and death statistics. I want a chance to work, to study, for the decent life that every human being deserves.

That's why I created this campaign, to gather support and be able to build a future outside this suffering. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference. It can give me hope, it can be a reason for my survival.

Please don't leave us to face this fate alone. Help me get a chance for a life.

[Image ID: A screenshot of a post on X from the account Gaza notifications reading "BREAKING : The Israeli army has announced that it's forces have begun a ground operation in Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip". Under the text, there is a photo of destroyed buildings and 3 people standing among them, under a red filter with "gazanotice" written over it. /.End ID]

This is getting even more dire for people in Gaza, starting from the North. If you can, please consider supporting initiatives and campaigns for people in Northern Gaza !!

One of them is Mahmoud Jomaa, he hasn't received a donation in a while so any help is welcome ! 🙏

Nothing in two days now !!

Don't let this go on and please support him 🙏

Anonymous asked:

In traditional marriage babies are grown in fields

I don't think this is true, but I am not married and not in a traditional marriage, so I can't be sure this is wrong. It is important to listen to people's lived experience.

Gaza Does Not Die… But We Are Bleeding ✊

I am Musab Ahmed. I once had a home, I once had a life… but now, everything I knew is nothing but rubble. My house was completely destroyed by the relentless bombing that took away even our memories.

My body did not escape this war—I was injured in my shoulder, underwent surgery, but I still need another operation to regain my full mobility. Yet, the greatest pain is not mine… it’s the pain of my daughter Lama, whose little hand could not withstand the bombing. She was injured and had to have a metal plate implanted in her hand, and we are still struggling to get her the treatment she needs.

All we ask for is a chance to live… A life that was stolen from us under the bombs and destruction. We need your support to continue our treatment and to try and rebuild what’s left of us.

Help us stay strong—Gaza is bleeding.

As of 4/3/2025, the campaign is at €1,831 out €12K. It was last donated to 10 hours ago as I write this.

a friend just tipped me off about Fund a Kitchen in Gaza, a free tool that helps you locate and donate to community kitchens currently serving some of Gaza's most vulnerable!

this lets you choose a region (south, central, north) and see which kitchens operate in that area, then donate to as many as you can.

as a reminder, community kitchens try to buy and cook in bulk, which makes ingredients last longer & sustain more people in the conditions of extreme scarcity that Israel is imposing right now. they are also able to serve people on the ground who may not have the means to reach out online.

so, whether through this tool or not, please do support community kitchens, as well as mutual aid groups that cover additional needs, such as the Sameer Project (meals, tents, cash aid, medical aid) and Dahnoun Mutual Aid (meals, tents, baby supplies, cash aid, winter clothes).

…psychiatry assumes that society does not cause distress in biologically normal people, who are considered biologically normal at least in part because they are economically productive. This assumption permits the conclusion that if a person is distressed to the point of unproductivity, it is because that person—not society—is abnormal. Thus, psychiatry’s commitment to biological essentialism not only masks the role of the constructed sociopolitical environment in creating distress but depoliticizes it by characterizing that allegedly irrational distress as induced by biological abnormality.
