Pokémon Sword has randomly become a very generous game to shiny hunt in for me. I’ve been finding a LOT of great targets here! But Nickit gets marked down! I’ll update via reblogs every time a new target is found!

I finally did what I promised and actually went and edited my bingo board to change some entries. There’s still one more I’m debating on changing but it finally looks a little more interesting to me!
…that being said. I’m also fashionably late on one entry, and also immediately get to mark a brand new entry~
And since we have some updates, here’s the board now! Decided to stop doing the personalized claim messages because they were tedious and annoying to make each time 😭
Also from now on gonna add “partway marks” when I find a shiny from a square that includes more than one shiny ✨
I think if shiny hunters didn’t get hung up on the fact that the shinies don’t appear in the overworld in Sword and Shield, they’d finally realize that SwSh actually has one of the best random encounter shiny hunting system built in of any modern Switch Pokemon title. But I digress.
#to summarize my point#the game having two separate encounter systems works in everyone’s favor#having overworld spawns AND in grass encounters caters to EVERYONE#but y’all are always so hung up on the fact the shinies don’t spawn in the overworld and it’s… getting annoying#I’ve found TONS of random encounter shinies in SWSH because it’s actually so much goddamn fun to hunt that way#it’s a perfect in between of what I like about any previous title pre SWSH and SV#(excluding LGPE obviously)#pokemon#pokemon sword and shield#the kiwi speaks#sleep deprived thoughts

I must make a confession. I’ve been playing Animal Jam Classic daily again since late November of last year. I’m 100% serious on daily. I haven’t missed a daily spin in months. In that time I’ve grown a successful shop, got that rare ass black spiked phantom plush, and have traded exactly like 10 times cause trading makes me too nervous. Was already surprised enough to find my childhood account still working, but that nothing had been hit by the data breach.
