It's not yet officially spring, but we're at least closing in and FINALLY having days of sunshine and warm temperatures. Today I'll bring my camera and go watch the cherry trees in bloom in a park in the city. Lucky for me, we also have a few trees in our yard so I get to enjoy them every time I pass by 🌸 I too have a long weekend and thank goodness for that because I really need the rest. It has really been an exhausting couple of weeks and as the garden center business is heading into its peak I expect we'll be swamped at work for a while.
I hope we all get some much needed rest and that we can also charge our batteries with a little sun and warmth (and beautiful surroundings) ☀️🩷🌱

Natassa - I'm so glad it turned out to be sand (though it must be annoying) because I thought it was forest fires again 😵💫
The temperature is finally turning around at last it seems, and IT'S ABOUT TIME. We are all so sick of the cold over here, and of the rainy/dreary weather too.
Unfortunately, last week's knitting plans didn't work out, but I hope it won't be long until I can try it out. I look forward to creating something with my hands, and it can be a good way to occupy my hands while watching tv shows.

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.
and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.
there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.
i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

I'll be going to a friend's place on Friday for lunch and a little refresher course in how to knit, so yesterday I spent a long time at the local craft shop, mulling over which yarn to buy until I noticed this lovely mixed shade grey one. Aside from scarves I have no idea what else is easy to make for an almost beginner. So, my crafty friends, have you got any suggestions? 🧶
