probably gonna take a while to draft a good answer for you but do know i am thinking abt it so much :]

oh ive got some art sitting around from a while ago i can post. friends and i are back in battlecat oc hell with our own little headworld clans, i can share my guys from it

so here’s Bitternpaw, apprentice of RustClan

Bittern here would be the angsty teen who’s part of the protag party and maybe gets some POV in the arc. Generally apprentices become warriors at around 14-16 moons of age, but at 17 1/2 moons old Bitten hasn’t gotten approval for eir final assessment. For this slight she blames:

1: The leader she grew up under, Lionstar, who only took interest in his son and neglected any duties that didn’t serve his own ego.

2: The current leader, that spoilt son Brindlestar, who despite being two moons younger that Bittern became leader through nepotism and his father’s death. Bittern has such a one sided rivalry with him. He barely notices her and she’s so fucking pissed. Seething.

3: Her parent in the clan, who decided coupling with a contentious warrior from an enemy clan was a good idea, as was only revealing their disloyalty in the midst of Bittern’s apprenticeship. Ey thinks perhaps Lionstar purposefully ‘forgot’ to give em a warrior ceremony, to shun and ostracize em much like eir peers did. Clan tension is quite high at this point of time, skirmishes and worse have been common for years.

Though Bitternpaw had never given a reason to doubt her loyalty (beyond flimsy blood relation), she’s growing quite disillusioned with RustClan. When a prophecy incites some apprentices from the three clans to venture out beyond their territories, Bittern chooses to go with them despite not receiving any call from StarClan. Ey’s older than the other paws and so finds herself taking responsibility like she’s an older sister to them.

CHANGE LOG:

1: The storm has intensified yet again. This week we see it shift into a new hue, Green. We saw it enact player stat increases, much like it’s counterparts in (Dark) Cyan, (Dark) Purple, and Crimson rain. We have yet to confirm the differences in how these varying colours behave. Weather reached Torrential several times in todays games, but did not cross over into Nor Easter.

2: This set of games was our first best-of-three series! In Terror Ball so far, it’s typical that each match is simply one game, with the winner moving on to contest the winner of the next match in a 3 game tournament. We’re starting our first best-of-three tournament for a total of 9 games spread out between several streams, where each match will play three games to determine who moves on. All three games will be played regardless of if a team has already guaranteed their success with 2 wins by the second game. If a team can win all 3 games, they would receive a special prize.

It was determined in this weeks games that the prize of this tournament will be a pitching increase, much to the chagrin of the Board Walkers, who had their potential stadium on offer but lost the vote. They would be the final team to get a stadium.

3: N.E.R.D. Games Manager Gina cryptically posted “More? I think more. You want more?” This was followed by a fan vote between an ace of spades card and a two of spades card. Ace won the vote, and we saw today that each team gained a new secondary pitcher! Pitchers will now rotate every game, with one pitching and batting and any others simply observing the game from the stands. 5: Lawyers.

There were some errors this series, of the tricky buggy sort rather than the ‘fumbling balls and slipping on the field’ sort. Gina did her best to whip up some quick fixes between games, but the temporal shenanigans and other such things managed to evade her. What can you do, sometimes the players simply decide to swing again after striking out and it can’t be helped. The Comfort Inning Cranes stadium was extra cozy today, with even opposing batters having gentle, lovely dreams when they took a snooze.

In this first best-of-three, we saw our new pitchers in play! Fandango and Aldrich pitched the first game, which was won by the Cranes with a score of 9-2.

The second game saw familiar pitchers Ava Jayonut and Shepherd Wheat take the mound again, in a game that was again won by the Cranes with a clutch home run by Ava in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the lead, final score 8-7.

Much action occurred in the final game. There had been some discussion of someone by the name of Germa (pronounced Jerma) at the start of the second game. Gina came to realize that this Germa was “Another [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. Just like ours with [REDACTED] [REDACTED] as the [REDACTED].” She got in contact with them to invite them to our final game, which they accepted.

Umpire Germa (pronounced Jerma) took the mound for the Al Dente in the third game of the series, while Fandango returned for the Cranes. With the help of Germa and their home stadium‘a irresistible meatballs, the Al Dente took the final game in an upset with a dramatic final score of 13–21.

The Sleepy Hollow Cranes with two wins advance to face the winners of the next series,

Unfortunately, poor Raul Lorem, beloved player of the Cranes, was chosen to sacrifice some of their skill in an attempt to appease the storm. They will be sharing this burden with a player from the Apples/Walkers set of games, so hopefully neither player will be too negatively impacted. Best of luck to them both o7

We did learn via Gina’s bluesky account what previous occupation Raul held before becoming a TBall player, which is that they were a fire lookout. Very interesting.

Lastly, in personal news… after attending several weeks of games, this [REDACTED] is finally taking home a caught ball. The a home run in the first inning of the third game 🎉! Great work from beloved Cranes player Sophia Kettle. Though we did not with the final game and thus the potential special bonus treat, players from both teams gave it their all and that must be commended!

We learned two new past occupations this week!

In addition, we have confirmation that the umbrella person stolen away by the Storm in previous weeks is truly lost. We now know of 7 marked gravestones in the stadium known as A Quiet Place, including the four who were taken Off the Table when More Or Less was put into place. RIT

A Quiet Place, despite being won by and built for the Cranes, does not seem to be exclusive to their team. The special game played this week between the losers of the tournament (neither of whom had their own stadium yet) took place here after a vote. Stadium information is shown on the site now, but the Cranes page shows only their older stadium, Comfort Innings, and A Quiet Place is not listed.

Stat offerings continue in an attempt to appease the Storm, but still it intensifies each week. We saw Crimson, Dark Cyan, and Dark Purple today in equal measure, and spent much of the games in Down Pour and Torrential. The weather this week did not ramp up to Nor Easter, however.

came back from Fruits of the Zee and made an immediate beeline for the Forgotten Quarter. Within my first set of 20 actions I pulled up the fourth eyeless skull out of the five I need for my first trip to Nadir 🎉

i’ve been seeing flondon x animal crossing stuff around and i really liked the idea. and then the insp grabbed me by the throat and dragged me out of the mires of art block and exhaustion so here we are !

i wasn’t immediately sure what to do with Mel since i don’t really associate Mel with any particular animals ( i mean Mel has a raven but i don’t think species is Symbolic for Mel). But a wolf fit well enough and then from there this design was soooo easy to put together. very pleased with how Mel’s colour palette translated over

Knoll on the other hand was very easy to pick an animal for (obviously a bat. its their fursona.) but much harder to design? Maybe because there aren’t any animal crossing bat characters so i struggled to figure out the style, especially for their facial features. i’m content enough with this but it took me a while
