Mod Vixen: Obviously I had to. Cause right now in Hemlock's story him and Sol are rivals or enemies. I thought it'd be funny to draw them wearing a "Get along shirt"

I do hope for more interactions between Sol and Hemlock in the future. Cause I love these two.

Also sol belongs to @sollyraptor and also gonna tag @dozen-arrows-in-my-chest

Whose idea was that and how did they end up in that situation in the first place?

Either way they ain't happy campers.

Feed my Minecraft Askboxes some asks!

I took some time to put my current asks in neat piles to answer some in batches (since some are quite similar) and put some WIPs into drafts for safekeeping. Seeing them in such neat stacks makes me realise that there aren't a lot of individial asks to answer afterall!

A few more would do nicely! Simple asks, trivia, interactions or those that attempt to dig deep are all fine by me!

I tend to be the kind to distribute asks (sneakily) but asking for morsels myself occasionally surely wouldn't hurt. P:

"Your relationship with the Antlered-One is a warm sight to see. Ah, but perhaps if I mention it out loud, you would be flustered and rebuke me in denial..."
"It seemed that, while your relationship with them is purely based on physical altercations and... violent 'playfighting', you bore a semblance of fondness towards this individual. Besides being an amazing wrestling partner, is there any other reason you enjoy being in their presence?"
"Perhaps to a point you can call them... a 'friend?'"

"Admittedly, I am pretty new to this 'friendship' thing. I am not really used to stick around people- still am not. But I do think, if anyone, Brine is the most worth being called a friend."

"A fight between the two of us was honestly overdue. I've been craving for a fight since we met, but the situations we met in before didn't really call for it. So I caused one."

"Generally I just want to figure him out."

Brine cameo from @asktheminecraftians P:

Continued from this post with @dozen-arrows-in-my-chest !

Brine could see that squinting of Sol’s eyes, that familiar face of not being able to see. The little Demi-Deity saw he had a chance whilst the other herobrine was down. Brine could see the faces Sol made and the possible frustrations those brows gave way to despite his toothy grin. Those punches held a lot of weight in them, that much he could read. But if only Sol had realized where his legs were and not his hands.

With a devious chuckle and a wide smile, Brine decided to see what he could really do. The old Aetherian Warrior instincts were strong, and before Sol could fully gain his bearings, Brine reached down to grab one of his legs.

After smiling with all his sharper canines bared, and as hard as he could, Brine hoisted his opponent over his head. He could feel the rush of what he wanted to try next flooding through his mind, so he quickly turned on his heels and dropped into a crouch.

Brine sprung up from his spot after watching Sol fall for only a moment, then bringing his leg up into a powerful blow to the other brine’s back. As he fell back down, he could hardly wait to see what the other brine would try next. It had been such a long time since he had had a good fight, but he had a feeling that maybe Sol wasn’t as good at fighting as he made himself out to be.

- - -

[You know, I had a lot of ideas where I wanted to do with this next part, but I’m very genuinely happy how this came out!

My partner jokingly said Brine should have just jumped on Sol as hard as he could. HEE HOO.]

To say that Sol was baffled was an understatement. He expected anything- They could've wrangled on the floor, kicked each other in the shins, brawled and roughhoused. He expected anything to happen but to be thrown!

Quite the distance too, just enough air time for Brine to launch after him and kick him mid-air. What kind of move even was that?!

As he tumbled face first to the ground, rolling in the grass and dirt till he stopped, he caught himself giving Brine an almost awestruck look once he collected himself. It didn't last long as short lived amazement gave way to fury

"Dude, what kind of brawls were you part of?! You didn't even let me hit once and then you pull that!"

This was supposed to be easy. Just a fun fight to beat the boredom, one where they could throw punches without fear of breaking bones or killing on accident.

If this went on any longer like this, Sol would feel like nothing more than a rowdy puppy in comparison to the hundreds of thousands year old herobrine that was his opponent.

Sol didn't like the look on Brines face as it seemed to grow increasingly twisted. It's like he's enjoying the display a little too much. They barely started and it's clear they ain't on the same level nor in the same mindset.

The hooded brine can't beat someone who's bent to win a war. With each caught up breath a thought of failed battles against other brines emerged in his headspace. Each time dying at the hands of enemies who seem to enjoy it a little too much to toy with him.

Squinting at his opponent through the irritating light, the flickering glow in his eyes seemed to be filled with- distress in contrast to his growling face.

Slowly getting sick of loitering and wandering, Sol has been craving for some trouble lately. Messing with humans are no fun at most nor would he want to put unwanted attention on himself running feral. Or hurt humans he got to know-

Oh! But now he recalled, he wanted to brawl with Brine for a while now. It's hard to remember when each time he visited he just gets overwhelmed. They are way too nice or so confusing. This has to change.

Guess he won't give Brine and the others any chance to go be too nice. He's not here to chatter after all.

Meeting Brine again after a good while, ignoring anyone else present, Sol greeted him not with words but with a good shove and taking a stance clearly declaring he's challenging him- to a little fight.

Avatar

Brine had known for a while now that Sol had wanted to get a brawl out of him; he remembered Celina telling him so when Sol had visited a couple of Halloweens ago.

And frankly? His old instincts as an Aetherian Warrior never really let him back down from a good fight. So he took his own little battle stance, wanting to throw the first punch and see what Sol could do in a fight.

πŸ’₯-πŸ’₯-πŸ’₯

I cannot wait to see where this goes, because Brine is a lot stronger than Sol probably thinks. 🀣

Also, I saw the skin of trans Herobrine with better pants and wanted to put Brine in it for... no reason in particular, really. :) I love Brine so much.]

Avatar

Sol didn't quite expect to tip the scales so quickly. He assumed he'd had to shove Brine a few more times before a fight was the only solution. As softspoken and practically tame Brine seemed in their last encounters, watching Brine's face nearly immediately turning sour at Sol's bold action, Sol suddenly saw some fight inside the other brine for the first time.

With Celina ushered away, Sol suddenly felt the light dizziness as both brines were teleported to a more secluded spot fitting a proper arena.

Of course, despite his disadvantages, Sol felt safe and sure in his abilities. A proper fight! He wanted to start right away! A fight, a real fight, where he doesn't need to play safe or easy as his opponent isn't a feeble mortal. No thought, no planning.

Altough maybe he is underestimating his "squishy" friend a little. He simply hasn't seen this side of Brine yet and assumes nothing of it. The broad smile of the other herobrine should've been the first warning that this might not be his first battle either.

Sol, though, has no space no more for pondering thoughts. His mind being driven by fighting spirit and intuition alone for maybe the only time in his being- is when he fights.

Brine couldn’t help but chuckle slyly as he rushed Sol. Hearing the confidence in Sol’s voice was a little amusing, to say the least. There were too many people who had made the same mistake of underestimating Brine for his size and kindness.

He jumped as he rushed to Sol and tried to land a blow, a little higher than he intended, but he was blocked--pretty well, honestly!

He moved back as a swipe was aimed for him, and he tried to land a blow to Sol’s chest.

Brine definitely expected Sol to keep his guard up, but they way he did was something to admire. He was pushed back, and he skidded against the dirt as he moved back on one knee.

Once he was back on his feet, he watched Sol to see his next move.

[OOOOOO, HERE WE GO, LADS!

I haven’t drawn fight scenes in a long time, but I’m really happy with how these came out!

HEE HOO, GET READY, SOL!]

Sols voice was unwavering, not even a hint of surprise can be heard in it- and yet it was apparent that he didn't quite expect the strength Brine held in his punches. He was flexing his wrist and shaking off the feeling left by the blow- with a certain twitch in his brows. It wasn't annoyance was it now? Frustration perhaps. Maybe this wasn't so easy of a fight as he'd anticipated.

Yet Brine felt oh so very light in weight- it seemed so easy to push him out of reach. Out of reach for Sol to counter attack. The flickering in his eyes returned as excitement builds up, giving in on the urge to rush Brine down.

Closing the distance in an instant he lept towards Brine and attempted to throw speedy punches and an occasional kick if it felt right. The quick punches ripped the air as they seemed oddly heavy for how fast they were. It costs his accuracy, but he'd only need to hit once, he's sure of it.

If he'd only paid attention where his feet were-

The rain of punches thrown in retaliation are shortlived though as Sol's legs are swept away under him, sending him to the ground before he could land an impressive hit.

Disoriented, as his loose hood slipped from his head, Sol merely flopped to the ground. The younger brines first instinct was to roll over and face his opponent, even if his sight was impeded by the bright daylight. He was defenceless in the moment and at the mercy of Brines next move.

Of course Sol could try to throw a punch or two, or try to kick his legs to make him fall as well- but such seem to be futile attempts if you can barely see where to hit.

You throw big parties? What kind of party are we talking about?

Amber: Well, if you're so inclined to know, I myself throw fancier parties than your usual riff-raff. However, that does not mean it's not a fancy ball or something of similar sort, as I'm still a bit of a rebel myself. Of course, there are some rules that people sometimes break and often times, they need a bit of a reminder that I myself, or our dear Fillmore can attend to~

Amber: But all in all, ALL is welcome to Amber Waverley's parties!

Hey, hey, hey, how high can you float?

"There's definitely a build limit, but I am pretty sure I can fly up till I had enough. There are no boundaries there." She haphazardly drops the things in her arms, unbothered by giving up her extra loot. Her inventory is stuffed full anyway and this mystery is more important to her. "Mh, but the world seems pretty expansive. OH! Maybe there's something all the way up there! A biome floating up where no one goes!" Without a notice, barely finishing her sentence, the fluffy vex shoots up into the sky (as good as she can with how wobbly the flight controls seem to her.)

"The sky is the limit! Or maybe not!"

It's not unusual for Sol to wander long distances with no clear purpose or destination in mind. Merely enjoing the smell of fresh air, keeping steady pace, his hood resting on his head still as the sun slowly dipped out of sight.

Until he abruptly halted- He felt it, like a shiver down his spine, before he saw them just block away from him. He didn't recognise Hemlock, but the vibe is clear enough he might've ran into another brine.

Sol hopes he can keep on moving without being detected but if he can feel the vibe from the other brine they could probably do the same.

So, he just stood and waited. He waited if he was noticed. How the other would react. His eyes faint flickering contrasting against the darkening sky of dusk in a moment of silence as he kept his gaze on the winged stranger.

Avatar

Hemlock hadn't really traveled far from the crater he'd created when he'd fallen from the sky. In fact he had no clue as to where he was going or where he'd set up home. However for the time being he was still wondering how and why he'd fallen. Usually he was rather great at flying he thought. He happened to be pacing back and forth for sometime. Yet however he felt a strange sensation down the length of back. The sensations was something he hadn't felt before. He hadn't ever met any other brines before, so this sensation lingered. Soon he scanned his surroundings looking for what or who was causing him to feel this strange feeling. Then his eyes landed on Sol, he wasn't sure whether he should laugh or introduce himself. The brine that stood in front of him looked utterly ridiculous with the jacket that he was wearing. How were people suppose to fear him. It took him a moment to straighten himself up. He stared at the man before him as he opened his mouth to speak. "Hello there."

Avatar

For a brief moment the two of them stood in silence, before a rumbling sound left the hooded brine. He was considering, judging the other, humming along his thoughts. At the very least Hemlock didn't seem hostile or willing to fight in the first moments, so that was a relief.

Sol wasn't all too eager to fight another brine either. Especially not a stranger one. One who doesn't sport the telltale white glow in the eyes, but clearly wasn't a mere human or mob. What else was that eerie feel reaching him? There's no messing with foreign herobrines. Who knows what they can do.

Finally, Sol inclined his head in a half nod and acknowledged the others' greeting with a mediocre "Hey." in return.

As he's calculating the situation, the flickering in Sol's eyes peering from under his hood steadily began to become more apparent. With nothing to go by, the stranger was unpredictable to him. It was too early to be reckless.

"You don't happen to live here, do you?" Sol then asked, skipping an introduction altogether. The question was an honest one, but clearly with intent. He wanted to figure out if this brine was here to stay or merely passing by.

It is pretty clear Sol, as silly as he looks, was cautious with the stranger, but wouldn't back down if things went hostile.

Aye, first one! Cheers!]]

πŸ‘Œ- [Exploring a PLATONIC relationship]

[ Sol ]

.Sol is used to be solitary for a loong time now and the concept of friendship still feels foreign to him. It's a little weird to him but he's making an effort to understand it better as of late. Means, them becoming friends isn't impossible after all!

.People (humans, villagers and illagers alike) tend to accuse him to bring bad omens, disasters, bad luck and simply death itself, if he even so came near a settlement. Brines [Herobrine] are largely seen as dangerous and all powerful beings, so he simply expects people to be scared and act irrational just spotting him. In any case the usual folk isn't too happy to see him and likewise he isn't too enthusiastic to run into strangers either. Unless he wants to make a scene on purpose because he's bored, caving in on the expectiations put on him.

.Orchid being a friendly illager, though practically raised by villagers, would make him ponder just a bit and distract him a little from his otherwise usual fight or flight response. Anything out of the ordinary- like peoples behaviour being so different from what he'd assume from them- make him halt in his tracks and curiosity takes over. He'll overthink for a while. That can start up a conversation as he ponders and might be inclined to ask questions on the hows and whys.

.Maybe they can bond little over how people assume bad things about them, just because of what they are. Hope she doesn't mind him following her for a while as he tends to when he's mildly interested in someones story.

.Sol will make snarky and grumpy remarks and likely mess with her, but has no malicious intent at the end of the day. Kindness and general hospitality towards him usually takes him aback, but they could genuinelly be chill with each other.

[ Lune ]

.She is by far easier to befriend and appears more cheerful with a spring in her step, though looks can be decieving.

.There would be interest in Orchid as Lune probably never ran into a non-hostile illager. Not quite with an occupation like this. She'd think Orchid is someone special. Some rare NPC! She wouldn't pass up on the chance to get on good terms with a special mob.

.She might appear like a bipedal sheep in a pink apron, but she will do and try anything to know more about Orchid and gain trust in hopes to unlock some rare loot or something. If she ever catches wind of her ability to create Notch god apples, then surely she'll want to have some of that.

.Lune tends to be relentless in her efforts. Though her motives of building up trust doesn't spark the proper idea of friendship, she wouldn't dare hurt or upset her.

.Eventually she'll drop the player-driven urge to yearn for loot and collectibles around Orchid and would be fine just chilling or trading things each found on their travels. Funnily enough, Orchid could mutter about needing something and the player sheep would just assume it's a quest and fetch it for her. Pf.

.Maybe not exactly a friendship, but it can be benefitial for both. In Lunes eyes Orchid is a unique NPC and worth protecting and questing for. P:
