What do we think Arch looks like. Because there’s no proper description of him yet and everyone seems to have a diff interpretation of how he’d look. What’s the most common one?

We technically do have a canon interpretation of him - from the trading cards made by Owlcrate!

If anyone wants a clearer image, I could probably get my cards out and take a picture of it tomorrow :P

Here are all the cards! These were scanned with my phone back in 2020 so my bad for the watermark and varying quality lol, I’ve been meaning to properly scan them with an actual scanner and really should get to that soon. I’ll share when I do. The backs of them list their favorite class and stuff.

I consider them about as “canon” as any of the chapter or cover illustrations. We don’t know if there was any supplemental information provided to the illustrator(s) besides what’s in the books (because some characters aren’t really described like… at all lol).

- thaddea has a gym membership. tries to get anah to join her when she goes to the gym but anah usually stands there and watches her. struggles with her hair so always asks anah for help.

-hawthorne sometimes bakes. he’s not great at it, but he enjoys it. gets his siblings to try his stuff. specifically likes baking cupcakes.

- lambeth does yoga every morning. she loves herbal tea too. she loves incense. and gold jewellry.

- cadence secretly listens to showtunes. her fav movie is girl interrupted because she loves winona ryder movies (me too).

- mahir is apart of a book club. he goes every thursday. drinks loads of coffee. loves watching movies. watches atleast one every night.

- anah gives herself a pep talk in the mirror every day. she also loves watercolour paintings. and rabbits.

- archan also goes to mahirs book club. they give eachother book recommendations. he also loves herbal tea. his guilty pleasure is rom coms.

- francis is always trying out new recipes and asks unit 919 for recipe ideas. also he has loads humidifiers in his room.

- morrigan loves candles. almost set fire to her room once though. as she usually does. and there is a stray cat that comes to her window every day and she feeds it.

The whole place is set on this island that used to be called Pefrain but, after a civil war (which for spoiler reasons will remain vague) it was divided between two Kings, Charles and Rohan, and the previous Queen fled to the mainland, Dreulia.

Nobody there knows why there was a civil war, only that there was one and this is how life is now. There are constant skirmishes at the border and it's very illegal and very difficult to cross, which is why smugglers and armed guards are paid a lot of money to do their jobs. Enter the characters.

Eris is a 24 year old divorced woman who is also a guard for hire. (Lots of trauma, very very gay)

Nex is 25 and needs Eris to help her smuggle mysterious cargo across the border and I hiding a very big secret (also must be kept vague for now, also very very gay)

The mysterious cargo they're transporting turns out to be a lot more valuable than they bargained for, and once over the border they discover that they've accidentally kidnapped the Prince, Harold. Neither of them know how they've done this as he was kept asleep with magic which neither of them know.

I have so much information on the magic system of this world (specifically necromancy because its a whole thing) but basically all you need to know is that magic is illegal and necromancy is punishable by death even though necromancers cannot help being necromancers.

Everything spirals even further out of control when they meet the witch, Elysie, who is keeping a lot of secrets and is morally grey at the best of times.

I am yet to properly name this but I have written over thirty thousand words for this now. So much is planned. It consumes my every waking thought.

Now I'm terrified that Ransom's next book will be about Abe. Birds, no, please no. I couldn't bear to read the world through Jacob's eyes, imagine seeing the world through Abe's point of view? He is literally the beta version of Jacob.

Throughout the books, everything we learn about Abe is: He was a good person, he helped a lot of people, but he failed a lot of everyone who ever loved him. He was an absent father, a bad husband, a bad boyfriend, and apparently was not a very easy quirky child to deal with (Whenever Jacob does something bad and inconsequential, Miss P says the same thing: I should have seen it coming, your grandfather would do the same) Besides, he spends a lot of time without communicating with Miss P and his friends. He just didn't fail as a grandfather because Jacob was peculiar like him. I really doubt that Abe would be this incredible and present grandfather if Jacob was normal like Franklin. He failed to protect Jacob, and I'm not saying that because he died, but because Golam was in Jacob's life for a long time and Abe was alive, and he never suspected anything,Golam had a million opportunities to kill Jacob while Abe was "protecting his grandson." Jacob is only alive to live the adventures of mphfpc because Caul wanted him alive. Abe's protection was being useless.

I'm just fed up with Jacob, fed up with Portmans in general. Abe has so many flaws that his qualities hardly make up for anything.

I don't mind him appearing in a new story, but I definitely couldn't bear to read a story with him being the protagonist and the world being summarized by his first-person narration.

I really hope that "whatever's coming" is either a brand new story, or something mphfpc related that is also brand new. I want new characters to love and hate.New adventures, new iconic villains. Anything Ransom creates will be extraordinary.
