"This method allows me to read who you once were. Who you are now. Who you may become in the future. Who you might die as. What you might die as. Your future is unwritten, along with your Fate. But know this:"

"Punishment for the wicked... is something you cannot possibly fathom. It is beyond what a mortal can understand. It will stew your mind, your body no more, your soul corrupted, fragmented, destroyed, and scattered across time, space, anti-matter, and beyond the realm of your considerably limited understanding."

"I take significant pride in making sure unpunished criminals in life? Face the worst in death."

"Behave yourself, now."

The Buizel was surprised at first when the Spirit Goddess lassoed his soul-- though, to be fair, he was kinda asking for it, so…

As he calmed down while listening to her words, he soon noticed his body felt lighter, way lighter. A side effect of having his soul tethered by Mingle? He probably shouldn't say or press her on it, but it does feel otherworldly.

"Stew?" The only thought that word brings to mind is a stone or metal pot used for boiling food, like the countless fish he hunted and killed before throwing the bodies into a pot to cook for himself and others.

Whatever this "pot" the Spirit Goddess may or may not be implying is, it sounds like something similar to what he and other cooks use, but larger than he can ever imagine and instead of fish, soup and the like, it’s the souls of those who committed unspeakable acts… Those thoughts alone were enough to have him refrain from attempting to understand-- let alone ask-- what the full extent of such punishments the Mingle brings upon such beings truly means, lest he brings about irreversible damage to his own mind and sanity by his own paw.

On an unrelated note-- assuming his theory about this "stew" has some truth-- he's more than sure if the two were to have a duel by way of a cooking contest, the Mingle would swiftly destroy him in that aspect. An end.

“Note to self: NEVER challenge this being to a cooking contest, she'd trounce me in a heartbeat…” the Buizel thought to himself.

Mingle: “I take significant pride in making sure unpunished criminals in life? Face the worst in death.”

Upon hearing those words; the Buizel felt something well up inside him as his eyes shrunk.

He'd often suffer nightmares typically involving faceless Pokemon torturing either others or him in various ways, taunting him while boasting how they're above justice. Needless to say, his outlook on law and justice was poor, if not outright grim, believing that the only true way for criminals to face accountability was to have them found guilty by law.

Those words out of Mingle's mouth just now? That never crossed his mind before. Given what he heard about this Spirit Goddess, her ensuring such vile monsters who think they can dare her and escape their Fate will not succeed?

He wasn't aware of such a thing.

The Buizel just had a fire lit inside of him, whether the Mingle intended it or not. His eyes returned to normal as a smile formed, feeling an aspect of hope that was once lost, now put back inside his very being.

The Buizel felt so full of Joy at this revelation, it threatened to burst something within him asunder, keeping a stoic face so not to turn into a blubbering mess before the Spirit Goddess.

With closed eyes and a smile, the Mingle mentions to the Buizel: “Behave yourself, now.”

He returns the expression; “Of course, thank you.”

To think he'd ask a question and get more than what he asked for in return… This was one encounter he'll keep in his heart as long as possible, going forward.

"That would be the case. And thank you for not trying to force it. Maybe I'll tell that story when I get settled and get some people I can trust."

Ari turned their gaze towards the other human that had approached them. Never a dull moment, it seemed like. Least this one seemed friendly. Though Ari visibly kept their guard up, since they could never know for sure...

"It's personal experience. I hope you can forgive me for being hesitant here..."

At Nat's offer, they just let out a sigh. They knew all too well that they'd have little chance of surviving out here, even with their camping experience and supplies. As much as they hated to admit it, having their help would definitely be appreciated.

"... But right now, I don't have many other options but to accept. So, thanks."

Goddess stares off into the vast fields for a moment, observing the wind blowing through the grass. She doesn’t look back down at the manaphy as she speaks. Goddess: Despite how others may perceive me, I am not a monster. I have a heartbeat and can feel others. I am not above feeling sympathy or empathy. I can admit when I am wrong, even when I am just following orders. Goddess: Whether Giratina or that mew chooses to forgive me, is up to them. I have made my choices and must live with the consequence of them now.  Goddess: My only peace is knowing I did what I thought was correct, which is how I can sit here proudly and with peace. What comes next is unknown to me, but I shall face it with pride. - - - - - - - - - - - - [ @ask-prince-manaphy ]

Hope from Beyond the Universe

.

.

.

The Indeedee stood stunned, as if having just been directly struck by lightning, except this one wasn’t that of divine retribution; but of an bolt of emotion flooding into her very body and soul.  Hope, to be precise.

The Indeedee looked all around her in an attempt to find where the source of this emotion was coming from, her feet refusing to move an inch from where she stands.  She knew it couldn’t be coming from Simon, the Raichu, Roserade or Alcremie, the effect would be way more intense than this if that were the case.  When she couldn’t see who or what was giving off that energy, the gears in her mind starting turning...

.

(Wait...  this sensation...  it’s just like the one that Skitty subjected me to earlier, but I feel...  Hopeful instead of Fearful?  ...Is it possible?  Can I really overcome that fear?)

.

.

With her spirits boosted: Belle expands her Psychic powers in order to slowly, but surely lift herself up and over the wall and above where the unsuspecting Roserade waits...
