There is this...want to be morally above others I think. That, if you don't believe or acknowledge the deeper, more morally corrupt things Billy does within the movie, you are above other people who also enjoy Billy as a character, but play on the undertones set up. I think that's ridiculous. I think if you wanted to have such a "morally pure" standing point, you should have seen the murder + sexual harassment and stopped there.

I think that goes for a lot of the slasher fandom too.
