Party Essentials Expanded - Addon for TS4

When I got a code for the Party Essentials kit courtesy of the EA Creator Network, I left left wanting. It was really only catered to the people that play with short wall builds, but I saw this pack as having great potential for community builds that were created using taller wall heights. Although I couldn't do a huge amount in regards to morte decor, I know I could add a bit more variety and useability for community spaces so i decided to make an addon addressing the lack of content for those sorts of builds.

I dislike promoting myself (I feel like I come off as annoying even if I post infrequently) but anyway, with another sale ongoing, I should probably remind people of the affiliate program. Just use the code PEACEMAKER at checkout if you want to support

hi i hope this isnt too much to ask for but could you maybe make addons for the other set of windows in cottage living (the ones without the stone)? i just got the pack and i was devastated that theres no simple triple window and i cant find any cc for it 💔

Hopefully I will get to part 2 at some point this year 🤞

Hi! I was just scrolling through the curtains/blinds ingame and was wondering if in the future you'd make Queenslander frosted glass doors and windows as well as some additions to the base game blinds (Nouveau Riche. Veil of mystery,Cabin slats/cabin blinds etc) and some mm matching recolors for the tiled terracotta floor tiles (terracotta parade and baked earth etc in some more textured floor and matching wall tiles? I just noticed we very much lack it in the cc department.

tbh i would be more interested in an Australian colonial set. One day I might get the motivation to start it.

As for window dressings, i have honestly stayed away as the base-game items leave a lot to be desired and make poor base material for addons. As for the terracotta, i would need to look into it. Not a item I use much, but unsure if it's due to lack of variety or a dislike of the tiles.

I am a 30 yo simmer. Been in the game for a long time now lol and you have ALWAYS been my absolute favorite creator for a very long time now. Everything you stand for (sims wise that you have shown), how you respond, the "it's a hobby" mindset (same with me, who had a brief moment of creating for others but that took the fun out of for me)...I just want you to know you that you are appreciated by so many. You have outstanding attention to detail, perfect workmanship, and deliver a nice clean product for others who love to play just to play. Your creations and little side bits keep me happily creative and I wouldn't be able to enjoy the game without your addictions.

awe, thank you so much!

I received the codes from the EA Creator Network for the latest kits, Urban Homage and Party Essentials, and I finally got a chance to check them over. Short version: these kits really aren't for me. I don't dislike them, they either aren't my style or designed for an activity I just don't enjoy.

Urban Homage is nice that it was a Collab with Ebonix to give sims of colour some clothing that feels authentic for the style it's delivering, but for me, I just don't have many sims that would benefit from it for telling their story. The fit is nice and neutral (not too baggy or fitted), nice variety of colour, and a bit of personality too. I would have liked to see more then just clothing though. A new set of boots such as a combat or timberland-esque would have been nice, or a new hairstyle or two. I don't know if I am just conditioned to think that is what a CAS kit should include, or if the kit feels unfinished because it lacks those items. The jeans are definite favourites, even if i wish it had a better bootleg cut. The tee is also lovely with the graffiti prints. I would love to see more kits like this though. There are many regions, ethnicities and demographics thats aren't represented much in regular packs that kits could cater for so although it's just not really my style, I would love to see more.

Party Essentials did feel incomplete until I started looking at it like a decor kit, then it came together. Can't say I am a fan of the colour palette though. My favourite was the pastel rainbow, and I kind of wish it had more of that swatch style. The golds, bright pinks and blues just felt a little... overwhelming to me. Given time I could probably make them work. I am thankful the bar was designed as a standalone object though. The curse of regular bars is they often look unfinished if not integrated with island counters and they are already too large as it is. This item strikes that right balance. I still desperately want a drinks tray so i can avoid having to huge a 2x1 object just to have access to bar drinks. The lights definitely needed a medium wall height option at a minimum, same with the streamer items. The new record player is a nice addition too. I just can't see myself using this kit much because it's relatively niche category. I don't like the party mechanic of TS4 so I doubt i will use most of these items much, if at all apart from the table, bar and record player.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. If you do want to grab them, because you like throwing parties or really dig the Urban homage look, remember you can use my code PEACEMAKER at checkout to directly support me as a creator via thesims.com or EA App.

Hey! Any idea where I can find the fireplace pictured in the Postmodern Living collection? The glass one in the black/white room.

Avatar

I actually had to open the game to look 😅

The fireplace is from the City Living EP and called "Firewalkers Training Ground"

Hey! Your creations are wonderful! Is there any chance you will do an expanded set for the movie hangout pack? I love the door in build mode, but there are no matching windows. D:

TBHJ i had to open the game to see what door you were talking about, i completely forgot it existed 😅

Honestly, I am not sure I can create a set to work with it. The door is nice, just not very inspiring or lends itself to being expanded on unfortunately.
