Everyone: Laios is a generic blond human fighter!

Laios: Learns healing magic, can sense the presence of undead when nobody else can, is constantly being contacted by a higher power.

Y'all, Laios isn't a generic fighter. He's a paladin.

Oh, and he has a sense of morality and a willingness to do the right thing that isn't his sole personality trait. He's a well written paladin.

(Also, paladins don't get healing magic until they level up, and Ryoko Kui wrote DM with heavy inspiration from AD&D video games like Baldur's Gate, so this seems true to form.)

DnD players be like, "I don't get the point of solo ttrpgs" and then spend an entire afternoon crafting their ideal Loxodon Barbarian grappler complete with a fully fleshed-out backstory and NPC connections, who will never see an actual table because there is no plan in their rpg circle for a new DnD game and this like their 10th character they're adding to a library of unplayed PCs.

any other solo recommends?
