I know that this is the piss on the poor website but I really do despise that genre of post where OP is making an argumentative statement and someone replies with a reasonable counter argument or at least something that would require some nuance or consideration and then OP shuts it down with some snappy statement because there’s no further room for disagreement without coming across as a jackass when things aren’t that simple.

In essence:

I think framing digital artists who ask for credit/to be sourced/not to repost their work aren’t petit bourgeoisie enforcing IP law lite, that’s a ridiculous way to frame it when in most instances I’ve seen, it’s larger accounts posting it and getting mass traction and then not bothering to source it back to the original artist. I dunno. It just comes across as needlessly combative and somewhat mean-spirited to dig in your heels and go “nuh-uh! You don’t own this JPEG!” To an artist asking for credit.
