I have been getting some Musketeers/Readers prompt asks and while I have nothing against the trope, it's simply not my jam. So, I am taking this opportunity to outline a few of my prompt acceptance rules:

  • No smut
  • No season 3 related prompts and that includes fix-its and reconciliations (I hate season 3. I haven't watched any of the episodes in a long time barring a select few scenes. Writing anything means I have to go back and rewatch it and that's not an experience I look forward to reliving).
  • Having said that, Post Season 3 prompts are acceptable. In fact, I actively encourage you to give me such prompts.
  • My preferred ships: Annamis, Portamis. Others include Constagnan, Sylvathos, Porthos/Flea, Porthos/Elodie, past Aramis/Marsac, Athos/Ninon. I can do angsty Milathos but don't ask me to give them a happy ending (or to kill Sylvie wtf)

Filter the tags #nsfw and #nsfw-ish if you don't fancy the occasional raunchy stuff on my blog

Kerala is not an autonomous region of India? It is a state like Uttar Pradesh or Bihar or West Bengal. It is ofc continously marginalised by the BJP led govt at the centre in terms of tax revenue bc its an opposition governed state. The LDF has no organised armed wings, unless you count gangs of young men who beat people up during election season, in which case every single party from the left to the far right has them.

They're not affiliated with the Naxals who are actually waging an armed insurgency against India, because those guys identify as Maoists and are deemed revisionists by the CPI(Marxist). They're also in an entirely different region of India with a base of mostly tribal and peasant organising in Bastar. CPI(M) is not meaningfully communist except in name to anyone who pays attention to politics in India, especially after the shitshow of Nandigram.

I'm so glad that y'all are so into Monkey Man and the badass hijra priestess army, but friendly reminder that hijra are NOT trans women. Hijra are their own distinct gender; trans women are women. India has both :)

Hey OP- the "third gender" classification was given in direct flagration of the NALSA judgement and has been roundly controversial and protested thoroughly when the Bill came out. And most especially, since when are we putting the power of who defines a woman in the current jackbooted Hindutva fascists in charge? Are you good?

Also, in the case of this monograph, I'd like people to stop quoting Serena Nanda forever thanks. A trans woman friend of mine is doing a whole live read of it on Twitter here and like there is some seriously transphobic and orientalist bullshit here.

Coz Serena Nanda is in fact in favor of third gendering hijras and despite literally quoting so many hijras like in this extract who are like "we are women in every way that matters" and seeing how the community works, she seems to be deliberately ignorant to justify the title and also says some seriously transphobic shit where she does explicitly state that they are "parodies of women" and quotes some fuckass Indian sociologist to go "hmm what if trans coz incestuous abuse from Mother?"

Like there is some some really fucked up shit in Neither Man nor Woman and despite multiple passages literally contradicting her, Serena Nanda doubles doubles down and hence should not be considered remotely a good source for anything.

writers love saying a character is good looking. in this bracket, you, the average poster, will get to determine who is truly the most attractive.

  • rather than by which character you like most, pick which you think is most attractive! (though some bias is OK)
  • rules: the character must either 1) be determined hot by some in-universe selection (such as a celebrity character and a fan poll) 2) have a character who most likely has no romantic feelings for them consider them hot 3) have multiple characters who are romantically attracted to them and like their appearance!
  • i thought about this for a while, and they should also probably have a canon appearance. sorry, tim stoker, but this poll will ask people directly to judge who is hotter to them, and you have no face and minimal potential to be objectively judged
  • if there's official art like book covers and stuff, though, we're good! it doesn't have to be a visual medium with a super set in stone character appearance
  • this isn't a "most sexually appealing bracket", and they can be a minor, as long as they're on the older end! (16-17) .
