In other news, I've decided to furnish the penthouse where the BC girls will be staying at. So far, I really like how it's coming out (I've literally only furnished the kitchen so far)

Got it working!! And I think I know what I did wrong. The textures may have been off because of the fact that I named the object in milkshape group_base instead of group_0. I'm so used to using group_base because of CAS stuff, but I guess that doesn't work with objects (?). I don't know why TSRW didn't throw an error at me but whatever🤷‍♀️ Anyway, get ready all of you CAW creators, I might just have a heaping of deco buildings coming your way😉 Also, since I got it working, this may be my sign to get into creating my own world😗Will I actually do it, who knows, lol. As you guys may or may not know, it is very hard for me to set my mind on doing something, moreso if I don't have a huge interest in it😅 But to be honest, I have yet to find a world that suits my liking so maybe I should give it a try.

So I'm trying to convert some of the Cities Skylines buildings I converted for TS4, but I run into a problem:

It looks fine in TSRW, but in game the texture is all messed up...Does anyone know why this is happening and/or how I can fix it?

Ok guys don't get too excited, but I think, I think, my game is fixed. I put all my mods and CC back in, everything as I had it before, except reshade, and it seems like my computer is handling it much better now. I went into a couple of custom worlds that were pretty large to see which one I wanted to do my gameplay in and my game didn't heat up!! It got a bit warm, which I think is to be expected, but nothing as extreme as before. And I believe the solution was an extremely simple action and that was to cap the frame rate at 60 instead of what my monitors refresh rate is, which is 120. I had only capped it at 120 because I kept reading or hearing (from videos) to change it depending on the refresh rate. Obviously I'm keeping it at 60 from now on. Also, I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I also changed it through the Nvidia Control Panel instead of the smooth patch file and turned on vsync. Anyway, I hope it stays playable🤞Now I'm gonna see if Reshade alters the performance by a lot. If it does, I guess I would just have to play without it🥹

This game just does not want to let me play😭 I started playing my BC challenge, I took photos of them and everything, but it crashed🫠 I was getting my hopes up 'cause it didn't seem super laggy in game (CAS is still a nightmare) but then that happened. I'm so annoyed, I really wanted to play!! Also, my computer seems to really hate the game lol. It burned up so fast. Sure, it might get warm playing other games like TS4, Cities Skylines (not so much), etc, but not as bad as it does with TS3. Obviously I don't want my computer to burn out, so I think I'm gonna take a break from this game for a little while...Sorry guys😭 I'm gonna try and get back into TS4 and see how that goes for me, lol. Although, I haven't actually played it in a while. I'll probably also actually start playing TS2, if I can get it working and all.

I finally completed this conversion. I had left it alone after finishing the remesh, but I decided to finish it up today.I'm actually so proud of how the remesh came out! I decreased it from over 14K to 4K polygons!! That being said, I might not share it because the bones are horrendous, in my opinion, and the stretching out of the texture kind of bugs me. I spent quite a few hours doing this conversion though so if anyone is interested let me know (even though I might get backlash for sharing it since the creator is very adamant about people not converting it to earlier sims games, which I just don't get, I mean I guess I do, but I also don't IDK, but whatever; it's part of EA's TOS that we can edit and convert others' creations regardless so🤷‍♀️)

So apparently I lost a shit ton of cc I had for buy mode😭 It took me so long to download and organize them and now they are all gone🫠

They aren't perfect, but these were the best I found that looked okay in game. If you have a font you like that you think would look good in game, let me know and I'll give it a try.

Increased font size and I think it's a lot easier to read now. It's still not perfect. For some reason there are still parts that are small, but I don't really mind because they aren't really important. The main text like notifications and such are legible and that's what matters!

Kenyan Coffee & Open Dyslexic Fonts

I've tried a few others, but they were completely illegible. These are still hard to read, at least in my opinion, but I'm hoping that increasing the size of the font will help. The hardest part of this is just finding good, legible fonts. I found a lot of nice fonts, but when used in game they become totally hard to read...I'm not giving up though. I'd really like to find one that works for me.

Currently in the process of downloading mods and stuff again for TS3 after re-downloading the game. I'm trying to limit the amount of mods I have in game so I'm just trying to find "essential" mods.

I say that, but I got side tracked after finding a font replacement for the game. I learned how to replace the font myself and now I've downloaded a ton of different fonts to replace the original. If I see that I've done it right, I might put them up for download in case anyone's interested.

There are left and right side versions because turning them around causes them not to match up with the wires. I would recommend downloading all six versions, whether merged or separated, unless you don't mind having to fiddle around with them to have them match up.

From 32K to a little less than 17K

Also, I decided to re-download the game to do a full, complete cleanup. Was decimating this hair while I was waiting for it to download.

I really wanted to start my BC gameplay already but my game said no. It got super laggy and everything suddenly got worse in quality. It also crashed yesterday as I was doing Charlie's outfits. Luckily I saved her base before it happened. Why is this happening😭 I'm gonna have to completely clean out my game and I guess limit the amount of mods/cc I have. This is like fifth time I've had to do this. I've also done a complete re-installation like two or three times since I got the game. So sorry for those who were looking forward to my gameplay, especially to those who submitted sims. I'll try to see if doing this will help and try to start the gameplay soon. I was really looking forward to it, but I just can't stand a laggy game.
