me, out loud: hey that’s cool we all have our own interpretations and i support you as part of fandom regardless

me, in my head: ….but you’re wrong

I would just like to remind everyone that this is the mature, reasonable, and sensible response.

If you don't mind me asking, what did Ahme look like as a child? I think you've mentioned that he was born blind and obviously as an adult his horns are covering his eyes. But I was wondering what he looked like before his horns grew in? Or maybe when they were smaller? And I'd love to hear more about his witch family if you're up to answering. I love his design, especially the way his hair is curly all the way down to his tail and legs.

Here's a little Guy! He's the adopted son of a Hag coven who love him very much and would destroy anyone who would harm him <3

The history of the Disney company is so fucking fascinating and complicated that I could spend the rest of my life studying it.

I hate the company. I love the media. I want it to burn. I was profoundly shaped as a person by some of the art its workers have produced. It's evil. It's beautiful. It's an eldritch horrorterror personified as a charismatic mouse. It's a nightmarish example of capitalist hell. It destroys as much as it creates. It's a flaming trainwreck. I can't look away.

It's the goddamn Elephant's Foot of media studies.

It’s honestly fits perfectly with who Walt ultimately was. A brilliantly intelligent manipulator terrified of the inevitability of loss yet incapable of costing himself as he lashed out at his friends and workers over basic workers rights, driven to obsession over a theoretical town where he was basically a pleasant Uncle dictator who could determine the lives of his citizens right down to what appliances they use.

the way ivan aivazovsky looks at the sea…i think…i think that’s what love looks like.

love is surrounding yourself with people who see you this clearly

Still the freakiest fact about him is that despite being as tall as a person or more, he banged out these beauties in a day or two at most (and smaller ones ina matter of hours). The longest he spent on a painting, at age 81, to make his largest ever painting, was TEN DAYS:

It is 2.9×4.3 meters large. That’s 9'4"×14'1" for people in other measurement systems. It’s HUGE. There are artists out there that spend years on paintings much smaller than this. He was not one of them.

He also didn’t only paint the sea, but he MOSTLY painted the sea. Very few people could draw light filtering through waves the way this guy did and apparently it was tied into his layering technique that allowed him to paint so goddamn fast.

He is obviously my most favorite painter ever.

“Still the freakiest fact about him is that despite being as tall as a person or more,”

Initially I didn’t realise this referred to the size of the paintings and briefly thought Ivan Aivazovsky was “as tall as a person or more” and imagined a freakishly tall Slavic artist lovingly painting the enchanting play of light and colour on the sea

This file is named ‘It’s Just Raiden Again Idk What To Tell You’ 😂

Anyway, (murder,) I started this piece early November for the lad’s birthday and just kept fiddling with it forever finding little bits to improve. I feel like I’m slowly settling into this new way of painting and I’m enjoying myself immensely ✨

Raiden is my dnd rogue, you can read all about him and his campaign over on @anywaymurder

I’ve been asked a few times about a labelled Master List of sigils. There are a ton of them, I know, and it’s frustrating to look back and forth between the individual posts where they are labeled. So have this!
