OC STAR WARS DAYS CHALLENGE :: REVENGE OF THE FIFTH ( the beast is you and you are the beast )

Born to a pair of smugglers on Corellia, Amaia remembers very little of her life before she became a slave. Sold to cover her father's gambling debts, Amaia grew up in the swamps and chemicals of Nal Hutta, a pleasure slave of Marlo the Hutt. It was only when she turned fifteen she saw any relief from her life, as a man dressed in black robes with white hair arrived and said she had the potential to be something more. She was bought, freed, and taken to the harsh red planet of Moraband, where she learned the only true path to freedom was through power and victory. The man with the white hair may have bought her freedom, but it was her time on Moraband that truly taught her how to break her chains. The voices of the valley and those who came before telling her to give into her anger, her passion, her fear. It was they who gave her the name Darth Raign and made her a force to be reckoned with...to be feared. But it was Darth Sidious who sent her into the path of Anakin Skywalker, forcing the galaxy to bear witness to a war of wills, dark vs light, a conflict which would bleed the galaxy dry and leave only one survivor.

REVENGE OF THE FIFTH. The beast is you and you are the beast.

From being manipulated by someone you once trusted, bleeding a kyber with anger and suffering, or willingly joining the Sith for unlimited power; May Fifth is the day to showcase your dark side characters that are and aren't able to use the Force. Were they once sweet and childlike? Was it something they've been taught? Do they struggle with what they are or do they relish in such vile and evil acts?

The bad guys in Star Wars (Poppy’s Version)

Darth Ryc

The leader of the New Sith Order

Deianeira

Darth Ryc’s right hand woman, an assassin who shares a romantic relationship with her leader

Malloray

Darth Ryc’s apprentice, a confused young man who clung to the first father figure he could find

The good guys in Star Wars (Poppy’s Version)

Coretta June ‘The Jedi’

Raised in the Jedi Temple, Coretta June became an instrument of war: used by the republic to cut down the Sepratist armies. Through the war she stayed true to herself: a kind woman, with a soft spot for Anakin Skywalker. Cory would later become known as ‘The Mother of Rebellion’, a woman who gave life to the next generation of rebels.

Lydia Amidala ‘The Diplomat’

The daughter of two of the best Jedi, and the sister to Luke and Leia Skywalker. Lydia was raised by Padmè Amidala to be a force to be reckoned with: a woman who stood up for the right things, and valued family above all else.

Kayla June: The Sister

Kayla grew up during the clone wars, watching the older sister she never met on holotapes defending the republic - General Coretta June. When the Empire rises, Kayla joins a nearby rebellion group and meets Obi-Wan Kenobi who tells her about her sister, and how the young girl travelling with him is her niece.

Anna Tano ‘The Padawan’

Anna was abandoned as a child, found by Ahsoka Tano, who took her in and trained her: naming her after her former master. Anna became a neutral force user, harnessing both light and dark to take down the new Sith Order.

Cora Skywalker ‘The Legacy’

The daughter of Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade, Cora was an exemplar Jedi, a perfect daughter and the light of the resistance after her cousin disappears.

Alexia ‘The Thief’

A common girl who finds herself in the reaistence. Despite her criminal activities, she chooses to fight fie the New Republic.

OC Introduction - Isla Tinero-Antilles

Taking to the skies to fly into battle with resistance fighters, wielding a lightsaber to avenge a friend that been harmed, or breaking an oath to protect those who can't protect themselves; May fourth is a day to honor the light side characters who can and cannot utilize the Force. Highlight their journey(s), their role(s) in the grand scheme of things, the impact(s) they've created on themselves and everyone around them, etc.

Born in 6BBY to Wedge Antilles and Mala Tinero, Isla's life was marred by tragedy from a young age when her mother, maternal grandfather, and several other relatives were killed by the Empire, Isla herself only surviving because Mala managed to hide her in an underground safe house. Nonetheless it was still twelve hours before anyone found her as they had to dig through the rubble to get to her, - this incident served as the final catalyst for Wedge to join the Rebellion, taking his daughter with him, though for her own safety she ended up smuggled to an Outer Rim world while he fought for the Alliance.

As a result, Isla didn't see much of her father, but she supported the Rebellion and was always frustrated that she couldn't do more to help, though she was determined that once she became a teenager she would find a way to help. But thankfully the main fighting ended before this and Isla rejoiced when the second Death Star was destroyed and the Emperor killed and she was able to reunite with her dad, and after the treaty was signed, she and Wedge settled on Hosnian Prime, and she was able to enjoy peace for the first time in her life. But she was still unsettled, the Corellian wanderlust still very much present, and she wanted to go out and explore the galaxy any way she could - eventually, years later, following in her father's footsteps and becoming a pilot, though she had no plans to become a fighter, instead just wanting to see the universe for herself.

This all changed when the First Order started making waves - although the New Republic didn't consider them a threat, Isla knew this could escalate, and signed up to join the Defense Fleet. A few years later tragedy struck her life again when Ben Solo turned Dark and slaughtered most of Luke Skywalker's Jedi students, and Mara, Nellith, and Reyana - people Isla knew and loved, people she considered family - were apparently killed as well. It was clear that the First Order was far more dangerous than anyone had realised and Isla - incensed at the lack of action from the New Republic - became part of the Resistance alongside her stepbrother Temmin Wexley, and by 34BBY holds the rank of Commander, having led multiple missions against the rising tyranny in the galaxy.

But the biggest threat is yet to come - and it won't be long before Isla comes face to face with the ghosts of her past...

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU, DAY ONE: I'm One with the Force, and the Force is with Me - Nellith and the Skywalker Legacy

As a youngster, Nellith Skywalker didn't quite understand what being a Skywalker meant, though she knew their history, and that her dad and aunt were heroes. This changed after the Jedi Temple attack - her mother and sister apparently dead, and her father unable to keep her for fear of her safety, and the Force Bonds severed, Nellith expected to never see any of her family for decades, aside from her Aunt Meri, who agreed to look after her.

And then the ghost of her grandfather appeared, Nellith the only grandchild he was able to reach - and therefore the one he wanted to help as much as he could. Through him, and the other Force Ghosts who appeared, she was able to learn the Jedi way -she didn't want to become a Knight, instead more interested how the Force worked through flora and fauna, but still learnt how to defend herself just in case, especially with the rising of the First Order.

Then one day she feels a powerful awakening in the Force, of someone she thought long dead - her little sister, Reyana. And she knows that it is time to return, to reclaim the Skywalker legacy alongside her.

And, possibly, to find their parents...

Lucy (Skywalker) Kenobi + Hero(ine)’s Journey

It was funny to think that just a few years prior, Lucy hadn’t even entertained the idea of flying. She’d only tried it once at age 16 and resolved never to try it again. But now…
Now she was a Commander, flying alongside her best friend (the best wingman she could ask for, apart from Luke)…and the cockpit was a second home for her.
Oh, how times change.

When 12-year-old Meri stowed away on the Millenium Falcon, she expected that she'd be dropped off at the nearest planet when she was inevitably discovered, and was even prepared to pay the pilot if need be. Han refused because he wasn't going to take money from a child and wasn't prepared to just dump her anywhere, because very few places were safe for a kid even outside of the Empire's influence, and instead offered her a temporary place on his ship. Though she was unsure at first, Meri figured anything would be better than her shitty home planet and accepted the offer.

The two of them soon came to see each other as brother and sister, but neither admitted it - Han was scarred emotionally and unwilling to open his heart when she was likely to leave at some point, and Meri picked up on this and didn't want to make things awkward, even several years later. Certainly it wasn't always easy, especially once she started calling him out on working for Jabba the Hutt, having realised the extent of slavery on Tatooine and being horrified by this - and things became strained even after she apparently backed down once Han realised she was working on the Freedom Trail, though he never directly confronted her about this in order to maintain plausible deniability.

Yet they still cared for each other, even when Meri decided to leave at eighteen to try and forge her own path for a while. She ended up joining the Rebellion - something else Han suspected but never talked about despite fearing for her life, as he knew he'd never be able to dissauade her - and decided to take on his surname, because even if they never would refer to themselves as brother and sister, Meri knew they were and wanted to reflect this...which came as something of a shock to Han when he was on a mission with Luke and Leia and someone told him his sister was there because as far as he knew he didn't have any remaining blood relatives.

But he was happy - and relieved - to see her alive and well, and she returned to Hoth with the trio, but it wasn't long before they had to evacuate. When Meri lost Han at Bespin she was devastated, because she'd lost part of herself, and she threw herself into the rescue operation - and once this was complete finally told him that she'd always considered him her brother. With the Endor mission looming and having learnt the hard way that you shouldn't waste him, Han finally admitted that he'd always seen her as the little sister he never had - and that no matter what happened next, she always would be.
