I always know Simone is tiny, but I did a double take here because I was like “when did the US team get so tall” not realising it was team Iceland haha. She literally looks like someone shrunk her, I love it. I feel like I’m never going to truly grasp how little she is unless I get to stand next to her. It was like that with Aly. Aly is TINY.

Giulia underwent an MRI and is confirmed to have torn her left ACL, as well as a meniscus tear and possible mini tibia fracture. She will be out for at least nine months, and will miss both Euros in Glasgow and Worlds in Doha. Giulia isn’t sure yet what the injury will mean for the future of her career.
