the merlin fandom truly are the most unhinged (affectionate) subsect of people on the internet. any other fandom you post a rambling meta post and it will get maybe like two or three notes. say that same thing and tag it #bbc merlin and a tide of furies descend upon it and rip it to shreds hungrily like starved maenads in a bacchanalia. you give these bitches something even resembling literary analysis and they become possessed by a violent hunger and go immediately insane. truly the best way to engage with fandom if you ask me

I think some people forget that some literature and some media is meant to be deeply uncomfortable and unsettling. It's meant to make you have a very visceral reaction to it. If you genuinely can't handle these stories then you are under no obligation to consume them but acting as if they have no purpose or as if people don't have a right to tell these stories, stories that often relate to the darkest or most disturbing parts of life, then you should do some introspection.
Does an aro website exists? Like a website where i can talk to other aros? (I need that rn)

I thinks folks expressing incredulity at the quality of the writing and composition in Calvin and Hobbes are often missing the context that Bill Watterson is arguably the most influential sequential artist of his generation. Like, this is a guy who once told the editors of nationally syndicated newspapers to go fuck themselves when they wanted to mess with his panel layouts, and not only did he keep his job, he got his way. He could have had literally any gig he wanted, and he chose to be the Sunday funnies guy because that's what made him happy. He's basically the Weird Al of sequential art.

After fifteen centuries of waiting, I knew you'd come back to me at last.
All’s changed, all’s still.
Cressida being a real person is refreshing and nice. Showing her actually taking Eloise’s advice and using it to be a nicer person is so good and interesting. And then using it to comfort Eloise back?? Are we becoming girls girls this season, Bridgitonies????
