Politicians will say fear-mongering stuff about ‘pregnant men’ (trans men) and like 60 popular funny blogs™ will rush to post “ermm doesn’t this idiot now that omegaverse isn’t real lmao 🤣” and then thousands of people will reblog it agreeing with the idea that pregnant men are just fictional and jokes

You can make jokes mocking transphobes I don’t care. But if the whole joke hinges on the idea that the groups being targeted isn’t real then I think it’s a bad joke!

Pregnant trans men are being denied care and dying - so maybe just keep your omegaverse jokes to yourself.

If you use the pregnant man emoji as a joke I’m going to maul you.

I’m tired of pregnant trans men’s existence being reduced to a joke and a fetish.

yall do realize just because something has been a target of misogynistic criticism, that doesn't make stanning it completely uncritically in response some kind of revolutionary feminist praxis. right.

like i hate to break this to you but plenty of people who dislike taylor swift have better reasons for it than 'she's a successful woman'. plenty of people who dislike twilight aren't just jumping on a decade plus-old hate train because 'teenage girls like it'. pure personal taste aside, someone pointing out the racism in your girlboss media of choice is not the same as an incel frothing at the mouth over a woman minding her own business while having fun, and you're frankly telling on yourself if you're equating those two people

I'm actually worried about the possibility one of my friends has been killed by zionist terrorists can we quit the discourse and focus on what's important which is saving people's lives.

Actually crazy to say "Fuck the celebrities that have stood silent in the face of the extermination of my nation and recently the possible recent killing of my friend" just to have people act shocked. How are y'all still wired into celebrity culture at this stage. Fuck every celebrity that hasn't done anything. Fuck every celebrity's complacence. Fuck celebrities. Fuck capitalism. Fuck the entertainment industry. But no you need to know why I hate Anya Taylor Joy.

I HATE ALL OF THEM. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF MY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN EXTERMINATED. AND THEY'RE STILL CHURNING OUT CONTENT TO DISTRACT YOU FROM IT.

Reminder to avoid buying anything crochet new from big stores. Crochet (unlike knit) CANNOT be done by a machine and must be done by an actual human being. The person who made it was definitely not paid an appropriate amount for their labour. Most big stores use sweatshops anyway and I know it’s hard to completely avoid buying anything from a major store. But if those specific items don’t sell, we can send a message to companies that we don’t want items made fully by hand using slave labour

This summer, avoid any new crochet items. You don’t need THAT specific top that badly

From one peaches blog to another, I love you, and I hope you understand my desire to add this addition to this post!

First of all, I fully agree that people shouldn't buy crocheted items from fast fashion producers. I am not trying to disagree that there is no way to pay someone fairly for a $15 crochet top!!! I am not here to play devils advocate. I am here to say that almost any fast fashion clothing item is nearly entirely handmade. Crochet is not unique in this way.

I have both crocheted tops and sewn tops, and while I would agree that crochet is more labor intensive per garment, sewing is also laborious. Factory sewing even more so because you are, just like crocheting, doing the same things on repeat for hours.

I am hesitant to believe that one is better or worse than the other when it comes to being a garment worker. The difference would be if workers are paid by the garment or hourly. By the garment, absolutely crochet is worse, but hourly? Both are repetitive handmade slave labor.

Some of the only things that are actually done fully by machine in the garment making process are cutting and pocket/belt loop attachment. People grossly overestimate the amount of labor that is automated in mass garment production. The answer is truly almost none.

So anyway, I'm not trying to pit two bad bitches against each other, but if we are trying to send a message to companies that we don't want items made fully by hand using slave labor, that includes ALL fast fashion, not just crochet.

No one wants to talk about this but never forget just because Edward Elric punched god in the face doesn't mean he isn't also a teenage boy. He would jump up and slap the top of every door frame if he was tall enough to reach
