No to AI. I watch TV and do reviews sometimes too. My OTPs are Bangel/Forwood/Stelena, Amy/Jonah, Cesara/Lucrezia, Clana. Anime/animation/kdramas/cdramas - I'm watching em. Talk to me about anything. This is Cangel/Spuffy hostile blog.

In 2 out of 2 episodes, Cyclops gets his visor knocked off his face. I feel like it's time for a new way to secure the thing that makes sure you don't blow everyone up. lmao.

Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered is a FANTASTIC episode. I love everything about it. Specifically because up until now, Cordelia and Xander's relationship has been in the background, but the moments they do have are impactful, so this episode centering the chaos of the fallout when Xander is finally sure about Cordelia, but she's going against her feelings, while also dealing with his lingering feelings for Buffy, and the complicated nature of his relationship with Willow all in one go, Cordelia has decent character growth, AND it's hilarious? A+, no notes.

It's so annoying when bangel antis bring up shit like their age difference, their experiences, Angel not understanding Buffy, whatever the flavour of bullshit of the week is, because if you just paid attention to season 2, they spend the entire season negotiating those issues, and finding their way to each other DESPITE those things. It's so obvious that Angel loves Buffy DESPITE her being a teenager, not because of it. Buffy requires more transparency and honesty from Angel, and he's obviously uncomfortable with it, not because he's trying to manipulate her, but because it reveals the ugly parts of himself he wants to hide from her, and is afraid she won't tolerate. The point is that Buffy loves him DESPITE those things, because her experience of him is one where he's searching for redemption. Like...it's all RIGHT there, so by the time we get to Surprise, Buffy and Angel consummating their love after almost losing each other on her birthday feels like the appropriate next step for them. She's talked to Willow about it, and feels ready, Angel finally isn't resisting how he feels about her, and they admit it to each other. THAT is how you build a believable relationship progression while also advancing the plot.

Anonymous asked:

How do you analytically read fiction books? How do you keep track of all the details, especially in longer books or a series ? Do you annotate?

Interesting question. I read fiction books for fun, so annotating is not something I even consider doing, because then that feels like work. I don't always keep track of every detail, and if I like the book enough, I'll read it again later, and find/remember new details, same as I would a tv show. My goal with fiction is to immerse myself in the world, so if a book is well written, that happens pretty seamlessly. I think this ask might be more about how to be critical of the media you are consuming, in this case, books. Tbh, that's a skill you learn and develop, it's not some well organized system for me. I'm just constantly critical of what I'm consuming, as that helps me understand why or why not when it comes to liking something, understanding the story, inferring the audience, etc.

Queen of Tears started off as such a classic return to the kdrama, and quickly devolved into a mess of incomplete SLs, an overstuffed plot with enough holes to be swiss cheese, and an overinvestment in SLs we have no real investment in. I'm so irritated.

Sometimes I remember in the before times, when I'd posted on here that too many people in the fandom rush to defend Riley, and then for like almost two weeks it was people aggressively reblogging my post to tell me how no one actually defends Riley, while they continued to defend Riley. Good times.

My favourite part about watching old Law & Order episodes is seeing how many actors were on it before they blew up.
