There’s no one way to identify as gray-asexual! These are some of the many reasons a person might identify with the term.

[ID: A purple square with grey text that reads: “I am gray-asexual. Sexual attraction doesn’t make sense to me. I experience sexual attraction, but only mildly. I only feel sexual attraction under certain circumstances. I experience sexual attraction, but I don’t have a desire to have sex. I experience sexual attraction, but it fades over time. Sometimes I experience sexual attraction, sometimes I don’t. I have a desire to have sex, but I don’t experience sexual attraction. I only feel sexual attraction rarely. I relate to the word ‘asexual’, but that doesn’t capture my whole experience.” End ID.]

Hey out there, anyone who isn’t sure if they’re demi, grey or ace. I’ve struggled with knowing what area I fall under for the past three years, and I’ve recently just started identifying as aspec to some degree. It has actually taken a lot of ‘know your identity’ pressure off of me, so if you know you’re aspec but not sure where you fall on the spectrum, I just wanted to let you know it’s fine to just identify as aspec and not put a label on it. Even if you do want to put a label on it one day, it’s fine to identify as just aspec until you figure out what label you want to put on it. That’s a thing we can do.

Allos please do reblog but please don’t clown. Acephobes/discoursers will be blocked on sight.

Is it possible to be sex repulsed but straight and not ace? How would I know if that's what I am? Everyone keeps saying Ace is an orientation and you're born with it, it's not a choice. If that's true, I'm a female & I've always been attracted to men only. Still am. I just find sex gross, & don't want to do it. Does that make me Asexual too? Or just straight & sex repulsed?

Hi!

I can't tell for sure what you are but from what you say it sounds like you could be heteroromantic and asexual/on the asexual spectrum maybe? It is also possible to be sex repulsed and not asexual, as asexuality is about the lack of sexual attraction not general interest. I'd recommend looking into different types of attraction and consider whether it is sexual attraction or only other types of attraction you feel toward men.

Hope this helps!

I actually struggled to think of ‘sexy’ men ¬-¬, provin’ my own point. I googled so many top tens.

Yet again, I got carried away with an idea that mAYBE didn’t merit quite so much effort. Next time I’ll plan this kinda thing O-O. I figured out that I could ink with my normal painting brush and BOY my life has been turned upside down. Decent looking sketches? Not a full painting but still presentable? Good god.

[edit- They’re my OC’s, Julien, Marnie and Roman (Julien- long hair, marnie- bob, Roman-fluffy short hair) I’m gonna try and do more comic- style things with these guys, maybe even a proper plot *gasp*]

Very nice! Thank you for making it and sharing it.

See, from personal experience and reading other people’s experiences, the whole ‘not getting celebrity crushes or sexy celebs but trying to go along to get along’ esp in school, is pretty much the norm for people on the ace/aro spectrum, especially if they don’t know ace/aro is even a thing. It’s always nice to see it being talked about or illustrated.
