A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away-- no rly tho, it was a long time ago, I got into the Star Wars: Expanded Universe and fell in love with both Tenel Ka Djo and Jacen Solo. There have been fanfictions, cosplays, websites, craft projects — all kinds of things I’ve created surrounding them and one of those things happens to be this blog. What If… Alderaan wasn’t destroyed by the Death Star. Leia Organa ascended the throne a few months after the Battle of Endor.

• EXCERPT FROM JACEN SOLO: THE HERO WITHOUT FEAR COME AGAIN, BY DR. BRIGHT STARFELL •

“…Shortly after his marriage the prince changed his name from Organa Solo to simply Solo, in way completely serving his ties to his mother and Alderaan. In a letter to his brother Anakin, Jacen talks about having briefly considered taking the Skywalker or choosing his own name before settling Solo to not completely disregard where he came from. Perhaps their even was the tiniest sentimental aspect to his choice of name, it is after known that Jacen and siblings used the name Solo while studying at the at Jedi Praxeum. The first time he met his then future wife it was as Jacen Solo, not his Serene Highness, Prince Jacen Organa Solo of Alderaan. His change in his name however, made it possibly to create his own path and while he was skilled politician, to this day he is best remembered as the Supreme Commander of Hapan Fleet, which his wife charged him with after she ascended the Hapan Throne…”

⠀It happened all at once. ⠀The power source in Tenel Ka’s lightsaber gave a shriek of electrical overload—and the blade winked out like a snuffed candle. Sparks and smoke poured from the end of the handle where an energy blade should have glowed. ⠀Suddenly, encountering no resistance as Jacen thrust with his last reserves of strength, the emerald green lightsaber sliced through the opening where Tenel Ka’s own blade had been just a moment before—plunging down to the only thing that stood in its way. ⠀Tenel Ka felt a line of blazing agony sweep across her arm just above the elbow. It burned… and yet below the burn she felt only a sickening, horrible coldness—a bone-deep chill like none she had ever felt before. ⠀Somehow her lightsaber thumped on the ground with a soft thud. Impossibly, she saw her hand clenching the carved rancor’s tooth. Sparks the size of lightning bolts flashed around the handle as her weapon exploded in a burst of blinding light. ⠀Bright. So very bright… ⠀Tenel Ka felt a dizzying haze swirling up to engulf her. Everything was so confusing. Jacen screamed something she couldn’t understand. Tenel Ka hoped intensely that she had not hurt him. ⠀ ⠀Jaina, Lowbacca, and Master Skywalker all ran toward her, shouting, but Tenel Ka couldn’t find the energy to stay upright any longer. Just as Jacen reached a hand out toward her, she felt herself falling to the ground. ⠀Then the pain and shock were completely swallowed up in blackness.

[ NOTE: We had to take some artistic liberties here because Tenel Ka's arm falls, the saber explodes and takes her arm with it, AND THEN she falls over. But that didn't work for the way we were thinking of doing these photos so we apologize for that little change! D: ]

(Legends) Organa-Solo Family Portraits

Han, Leia, Jacen, Jaina and Anakin :)

I was raised being told Han and Leia had three kids in the extended universe, and now I’m reading any “New Jedi Order” novel I can find in a thrift store. I love the Solo kids they’re insane.

My kinds of ships are the ships where the men know their women are powerful forces of nature and that they could fuck up entire armies in a matter of seconds and THEY EMBRACE IT AND TAKE PRIDE IN IT???! “Oh… It’s not me you should be worried about… It’s my WIFE.“ *smirks* YAAASSSSSSSSSS GIVE ME MORE.

When his little sister's face hit his shoulder, Jacen's arm instantly went around her, hugging her to him.

"Being scared is normal," he spoke quietly. Speaking to her like this reminded him of occasions when they were all younger and she and Anakin would have nightmares — that was something so simple though, nothing like this. Friends wounded and bleeding around them, smoke surrounding them and debris littering the ground — their brother just... gone.

"I'd find it kind of odd if you weren't scared." His words were followed by another forced smile.

With a deep inhale, Jacen pushed his mind to take in what he was feeling physically and he gently stepped away from Natasha and peered down, motioning to her wound. "I'm going to have to go soon, just for a bit, but we should get that cleaned up before I do."
