I thoroughly believe men should be loved the way women are expected to be loved. Shampoo his hair for him in the shower and rinse it out for him. Pull him to your chest and play with his hair when he’s feeling sad or sleepy. Take him out to dinner and pay for his meal. Bring him little surprise gifts. Kiss his forehead and temple when you see him. Let him be the little spoon and hold onto him like he’s everything to you. Be obsessed with him, treat him with all the love you expect to be treated with.

As Lucy finished drinking, Damon shifted their positions so she was sat up though she still trembled from pain and fear. Her gaze moved from him to the kidnapper. “You pushed me,” Lucy said, remembering the impact that sent her forward just as the wolf lunged at Damon. She was thrilled he hadn’t been bit, but the vampire bitch could have sacrificed herself instead.
Damon frowned and looked between the two women. “What?”
“She pushed me in front of the wolf,” Lucy clarified.
Rose held up her hands in a gesture of innocence. “I don’t know what she’s talking about. Why would I do that?”
He looked at her a beat longer before shaking his head. “She’s confused. That’s all.” He pushed Lucy’s hair behind her ear, ignoring the glare she gave him. He moved the neck of her shirt aside to see her wound.
I feel like Lucy is about to meet the infamous Klaus... 😄
And I wonder what his opinion of her will be. Like on one hand I think he might find her amusing & and respect her for her fierceness. But on the other hand, he'll probably be pissed and jealous that Elijah kept it a secret, that he has someone else he considers family....

She had known Alfie Solomons for about three years, and they had been friends since they had met.
Two years into their strange friendship, she had been sacked from her job as a secretary for an Italian businessman, he didn't say why he suddenly decided he didn't require her services, but they both knew. Tensions were rising between the Jewish quarter and Italian quarter in Camden, and everybody was sticking to their own side of town.
When she had told Alfie about it, he had offered her a job immediately - the rising tensions were partly his fault anyways.
Her mother had not been happy when her daughter came home with news she would be working for Alfie Solomons, but when she saw the stack of notes Mr Solomons had given as a 'pay advance', she warmed to the idea.
...he'd let her release a group of pigs in his office if she wanted to.
That had me in a fit! 🤣
He really should have told her, but he didn't.

As it turned out, Elijah brought guests with him to dinner. Jonas Martin and his son Luka who were his current favored witches. Once they’d settled at the table and dished up their dinner, talk swiftly turned to Elena and Niklaus.
Elijah focused on Caroline. “I trust what we say here will not be repeated, Miss Forbes. My Lucy trusts you and considers you family so I am extending you the same courtesy. Do not make me regret it.”
Caroline’s eyes grew big as she glanced between her friend and the Original. “I won’t. I promise.”
He nodded once in acknowledgment before leaning back in his chair. “As you are all aware, my siblings and I are the Original vampires. Five of us still live, or a semblance of it at any rate. My brother Niklaus seeks to end a curse and needs the human doppelganger to do it.”
