A computer science student named Priyanjali Gupta, studying in her third year at Vellore Institute of Technology, has developed an AI-based model that can translate sign language into English.

This is what we need AI for. Not generating pictures using millions of stolen pieces of art, or generating shitty false articles using the stolen work of hundreds of thousands of writers. AI can be good, and it can be used for good things. This is an incredible feat and I hope Priyanjali gets the recognition and support she deserves for this amazing project.

I realised that I did not post about this game. That is frankly, a crime. It is terrible that I did not post about this game and it has been like a year and a half. What is wrong with me?

So this is Chicory: A Colorful Tale. This is a beautiful masterpiece of a game where you are a cute dog running around solving little puzzles and painting the whole thing like the game is a colouring book.

What I expected: to colour in all the panels of an entire video game and have a probably good time.

What I did not expect: A deeply meaningful and touching story about what it means to be a creative that is still making me feel teary-eyed just thinking about it. Nope. I am crying now. Also there were several cute jokes.

As an artist, this game put me face to face with so many of the things that I personally struggle with. It made me think about my motivations, my creative process, how I compare myself to others, and the idea that the world is just better if everyone can create, no matter what their skill or style. I probably need to re-visit this game, to be honest, because in the past year I have forgotten about a lot of the lessons it was trying to teach me.

I 100% completed this game and I do not regret any minute of it, even picking up all the pieces of trash scattered around the world. If you are a creative, or even if you're not, I strongly encourage you to play this game. It is the only game I have felt the absolute need to write a review about and yell at people and shake them down and be like PLAY THIS PLEASE. So... play it? please?

I named the dog Chocolate, by the way.

Children of the Light, part three ๐ŸŒ™โœจ๏ธโœจ๏ธโœจ๏ธ

"To love and to be loved"

Parsley and his parents

[Alright, this is the last post of this lil "series," and yet, it's probably the most important one, I think. This time, I want to tell you a little bit about family values of lighties, and as an example, I will use our Parsley baby (some of you are already familiar with them via my webtoon). As you can see, Parsley has three parents: mom and two dads. They are madly in love but also treasure their lil kiddo even more. This is quite common for elementals of Light to live in big families - all lighties are more or less polyamorous and if everyone involved don't mind each other, they often form polycules. They don't understand feelings such as jealousy, desire of ownership, and control over their partners, etc. All they want for their loved ones is for them to be happy. That's just how they were created - to travel, to explore, and to enjoy their lives and the world around them. And let's just hope Parsley will reunite with his parents as soon as possible, so they will be able to continue their wonderful jorney :) ]

Ported over the dialogue system I've been tweaking since a few projects ago.

The upside of hopping so haphazardly amongst different projects is that a lot of the basic stuff I've already done. Like dialogue. I just gotta spend a half hour linking up all of my variables.

Also a quick look at the raging in actual combat. Definitely exposes a lot of stuff I have to refine with combat as a whole.

i think some of you dont like narratives or stories or characters i think you just like fanfiction tropes

protagonists can and will be sexist, racist, insensitive, cruel, stupid, etc, especially towards the beginning of a story. these are called character flaws and they are a surprise tool that will lead to narrative fulfillment later
