music (fanfiction) writing challenge!!

use your music taste to write a fanfiction or any story in this challenge!

first open your music app of choice and make sure your playlist is on shuffle -- then the first 5 songs that pop up will determine your:

  1. Premise -- What your story is going to be about in the first place. What is going to be the main "selling point" of the story that sets it apart from the rest.
  2. Main character -- Your main character's personality or inner struggle.
  3. Main conflict -- The main conflict that drives your story and becomes an obstacle for your main character.
  4. Vibes -- Is this going to be a light-hearted story? Angsty? Romantic? Whatever matches the vibe of the song.
  5. Ending -- How this story is going to end.

yes, this is very vague, but that is the point! this can give you some ideas of what to write while also leaving plenty of room to be creative. feel free to switch up what songs represent what or even shuffle them a couple more times!

Pairing: Chrissy Cunningham/Eddie Munson Rating: Explicit Chapters: 1/1 Words: 6,416

“I don’t know, Chris,” Eddie says with a tired sigh. “It’s just—Eric’s graduating soon. Sabrina looks like she magically aged five fuckin’ years overnight. I feel like I blinked and they grew up.”

There’s a twinge in Chrissy’s heart. He’s right. She could’ve sworn that she’d been hanging painted hand-turkeys on the fridge and wearing macaroni necklaces not that long ago.

There are college brochures and laptops on the kitchen table where coloring pages and Gameboys used to be, makeup and Axe deodorant on the bathroom counter where bubblegum flavored toothpaste and rubber tub toys once were.

“I know,” Chrissy nods, her chest tight all of a sudden. “I’m not really sure when that happened, either.”

“They did it when we weren’t looking,” Eddie grins, taking Chrissy’s face in his hands to give her a quick kiss. “Just like everything else they do.”
