Pinned and Opened.

Howdy! My name is Mori or Virgil. I'm a private, little creature and alleged artist/writer/roleplayer un-living in Connecticut! I spend most of my time in my little workshop working on the occasional crime against god's design. If you're curious, my art tag is #mentemoriart !! A note or two: A lot of my art and writing can touch on darker subject matter -- although mostly everything posted on this blog should be SFW. That said, while it isn't set to be explicit, I would also say that it is not strictly intended for children. A lot of my public work is OC or ttrpg/roleplay focused! I'm a big fan of systems and settings like World of Darkness/VTM, Blades in the Dark, Mörk Borg, and other little delights! I also play DnD from time to time -- your man sometimes enjoys the familiar. Commission openings are a bit sparse due to mental health -- but I do occasionally throw em out there. I also do adoptables and custom designs when a beastie needs a home. Cheers!

RIP Kabosu, who inspired one of the most influential memes of all time; Doge.

2/11/2005 - 24/5/24

Important to know, she passed in a loving and quiet moment being pet by her owner while the sun shone through a window and the birds sang outside

Her owner says it's as if she simply drifted to sleep

Dog toy plushies have fundamentally different souls than that of regular plushies. Unlike regular plushies, which are content with just existing (and just go to regular heaven when they get destroyed and don’t mind being resurrected), dog toys seek Valhalla. This is why you don’t need to feel bad when your dog/cat/especially strong bird rips it to shreds, because this was the warriors death they were seeking all their life

i cant believe so many ppl just know suzaku and lelouch from "im at soup." like. there are people who know them only for being funny at the soup store and have no idea about the all the horrific war crimes they did for 50 episodes straight which end in an assisted suicide in front of the entire world. But they were also at soup

the underwhelming dense pang of sadness mixed with the loss of personal identity and opportunity that goes hand-in-hand when you're forced to live with your parents as someone well into their adult years lol

the loss of privacy. the absence of choice. the desire for more that's out of reach.

sorry this was supposed to say overwhelming. it gets to be too much. trying to fit your adult interests in the confined spaces of your childhood room; the emotions of your younger self piled within the crevices of this one room that you're able to express yourself in is... overwhelming and choking

not to mention the mixture of emotions, right? grateful you're not homeless. grateful your parent extends a helping hand. grateful they understand why you're not on your own. yet you're still grieving what could be. grieving the creativity you have to shelter because it's not your space to create. the experiences you must only daydream, the ones you're missing out on, because you can't bring people over. the rules you must follow, even as a grown adult with your own autonomy, because there are even older adults who want things to be in place; inherently feeling like an infant no matter what you do, no matter how much older you get. etc, etc, etc, and so on.

it’s so bizarre when animated American films are set in a certain location and then only certain characters have the accents of that place. It makes no damn sense!! like

WHY IS SHE MORE FRENCH THAN THE REST OF THEM???

WHY ARE THESE GUYS MORE SCOTTISH THAN THE KIDS??

(also, aren’t they Vikings or something?)

To be fair, almost everyone in Ratatouille does have a French accent. The real question is why Linguini and also all the rats sound intensely American

If it was just the rats I’d say it’s because the movie can be interpreted to mean that the rats understand but don’t necessarily speak human languages so the rat dialog isn’t literally taking place the way we see it but that doesn’t explain why Linguini has a rat accent

LINGUINI HAS A RAT ACCENT

Do we ever hear like

For sure that Linguini grew up in France tho?

It could be possible he’s just an American immigrant

I mean his name is Alfredo Linguini so I always assumed he was Italian

I’m sorry his first name is Alfredo?

What

ALFREDO???

he’s American you guys his mother was American it was mentioned in the beginning

I’m sorry, I’ve moved on to the fact his mother was going through her cupboard for baby names

Alfredo was a name before it was a sauce let’s go over the movie from the top again

This is Alfredo di Lelio (right) the inventor of fettuccine Alfredo, he’d come out to the table and make it in front of you by hand
