And here is my take on it using Bofur and Nori! I was imagining them finding each other in the dark, thinking the other was someone else, and being surprised when they realize who they’d been kissing!

HAHA OMG! And because it was early in the morning when I was drawing this stuff, here is BIFUR and Nori because APPARENTLY I CANNOT READ! I drew Bifur first then altered the pic to be Bofur instead.

How did I take Bifur and Nori and make it Bofur and Nori using only traditional media? I dug out my lightbox!

This is the most overtly shippy thing I’ve posted to this blog to date. XD I’m still not 1000% sure I got the back of Nori’s hair style correct. I’m sorry if I got it wrong!

Teenaged Bofur in a somber moment. I was having fun trying to imagine what the dwarves’ facial hair looked like when they were teenagers! Bofur was first because I thought he’d have a cute little Musketeer-like moustache! I wasn’t sure I’d be colouring this in the future so I tried to convey just how hideous his nana-made sweater is through the use of pom-poms and huge diamond patterns. 

I’m a tad infatuated with dwarven knit-wear. 

Their wool would come from goats, most likely, right? Well, Cashmere and Angora wool both comes from goats and it’s light and soft and warm. Maybe in this picture this is Bofur’s first encounter with a sheep’s wool sweater and it is itchy as all get out!? It might explain why he has a scarf on underneath of his sweater.

Nori’s gloating a lot over how people react to his new status as a hero of Erebor. Dwalin’s Lord of Ered Lúin in lotr online, so I like to think that he and Nori moved back there after a few years, and Nori was quite thrilled about suddenly being Lord’s Consort in the place where nobody thought he’d amount to anything

Having just spent the afternoon sorting through family antiques I can only imagine Bilbo trying to divest himself of things at Bag End and… ending up with a rather large wagon of things he simply cannot part with!

Bilbo: Ah! But this serving dish was hand-painted by my grandmother, I couldn’t possibly… goodness! That pile of linens are table clothes and napkins and pillowcases we can use to wrap the good porcelain with! Don’t put those in the give away pile!

Bofur: What about this manky old box of tattered bits of cloth?

Bilbo: *cold voice* You mean the linen cutwork card table covers my great aunt Gerbie spent countless hours on? 

Bofur: Er…. *WISHES THORIN WAS HERE TO HELP* No?

Bilbo: That’s right, no. They go in that chest there. We’re taking them. *wasn’t going to but now he feels he has to in order to prove a point!*
