This is the first Moosefrog I ever drew. It was on the whiteboard in my little area of the office. XD

#moosefrognews #moosefrogartThings I don’t miss about doing comics? Backgrounds. XD Even with a reference it’s hard!
Teeny Tiny Requests!
Sloooowly making progress on the next Teeny Tiny Thorin comic. If my brain could please stop hurting that’d be super, thx. (Headaches/migraines are the bane of my existence!)
Do you have any teeny tiny Thorin requests?! Maybe teeny tiny Bilbo? At this point, I’m just trying to get some practice in on the scale of teeny tiny characters but my brain is preventing me from coming up with any doodle ideas.
Teeny Tiny Black Sails?! :O
Drop me an ask with your teeny tiny request and I’ll see what I can do! :D
Slowly working on inking/colouring an old sketch. I’m REALLY liking this brush! Lookit that line variation! It feels a lot like using a nib pen but it’s Photoshop! It’s one of Kyle’s brushes, the Ultimate Oil Detail Brush 30px. I can tell that when I sketched this picture I had been planning to ink with a nib because I have a lot of short lines. XD Well, at least until I have to do Sherlock’s jaw/neck.
WHERE IS THE LIE?

So many good ideas! I drew the first one that captured my imagination!
X marks the spot. I really liked the prompt for Flint strolling across a chart but because I’m lazy I drew him doing a stereotypical pirate map. I like to think he’s going through all of this effort to make a decoy map for idiots. It’s hard to tell but the paperweight is a rock with a fossil in it. It seemed like the sort of thing Flint might have hanging around.
I used a reference for his inkwell and quill!
I actually inherited an inkwell and a real feather quill! I simplified the inkwell for the sketch but thought you might like to see a photo of the one I used as reference.
WTF is Moose doing with her life? Where’s all the art gone? Where are stories about sassy ravens who like to gossip?
My friends, the answer is twofold:
ONE
Today I coded my very first Python class! *sniffles* It’s for sending email to AWS SES and while it does not work I am still insanely proud. My brain is stuffed full of new learnings and it drains my creative juices. I consider this a fair trade because I get paid very well to have my juices drained.
TWO
You see that logo up there? That game? Graveyard Keeper? I have spent 58 hours playing it… so far. When I was addicted to Stardew Valley I clocked 363 hours before something shiny distracted me. This isn’t over by a long shot.
Do you think magnificent cathedrals like this are achievable through slacking?!
Or that you can get to the top of the mortuary game by spending your free time doodling hot hobbits? I mean, I have two embalming stations AND two refrigerated body bunk beds! AND I hardly ever botch up organ extraction anymore. >_>
And cast your gaze upon my magnificent yard, the bane of all HRAs, scattered with quality tools of the trade! “Which trade?” you may ask? Why, ALL OF THEM, of course. Because I am an overachieving asshole in all aspects of my life!
My free time is now all about my imaginary profession of graveyard keeping. And, weirdly enough, cannibalism.
Wait, is my character a cannibal if he only serves ‘graveyard meat’ to other people? Will dumping bodies in the river catch up with me? Will I ever have to pay the taxes I was threatened with early on in the game? If witch burnings are so wrong then why is selling beer and burgers at them so profitable? Does it make it less wrong to decorate with skulls if I feel really bad about it?
TLDR;
Work keeps me very busy and drains my creative juices. Graveyard Keeper is the only thing keeping me sane right now and the quality of sanity is iffy at best.
