Shibuya and Harajuku (Tokyo, Japan)

We headed over to the Shibuya area one day. It is considered one of the more “hip” parts of town. But we weren’t there for any clothing shopping, there was a pop-up Production I.G store in the 0I0I building and we were also surprised to find a One Piece one there on the same floor.

I went a little nuts at the Production I.G shop since they had Kuroko’s Basketball, and Haikyu, and Ace of the Diamond stuff. There was also an exhibit space where we got to see some of the key frames from Kuroko’s Basketball (!) among other things. Plus, a very large, though I still don’t think actual-size Tachikoma was present.

We visited the Hachiko dog statue near the Shibuya train station. Hachiko is from a touching story about a dog waiting for his master at the train station. There was a mural nearby and some special tiles inlaid in the ground, too. This is a popular place to gather.

We walked up to Harajuku  just to take a stroll around. We tried to pop-in the Fate/Grand Order Cafe and Shop for some friends. We were practically thrown out of the place as I guess you can only go if you make a reservation. It was the first non-friendly customer service we’d had since being in Japan.
