ER Athletes

Tuesday,USA Today released an article about Olympic 100m Hurdler Dawn Harper and PEDs.  According to the article, Harper was experiencing hypertension and rushed to the ER.  The doctor prescribed a treatment.  Harper asked if the medicine contained any performance enhancing drugs.  The doctor answered to the best of his knowledge no.  After this ordeal she was tested by USADA and was cited for Hydrochlorothiazide and banned for three months.  Hypertension is a precursor to heart attack.  If she was not treated, there’s chance she may have experienced some type of heart failure in her early thirties.  PEDs…How far is too far?
