Chrissi’s guide to coping with dysphoria - After dark.
Apart from all the obvious ones like; going shopping, painting your toe nails, wearing undergarments of your choice, hope, expressing yourself, tucking, bra stuffing, stubble removal, believing in yourself, talking to someone about it, make-up, heels, feminine clothing, girly nights in, listening to yourself not others, jewellery, distracting yourself with other happiness, wine… juggling, table tennis… wait… what?
I have a few of my own, most of which are slightly risqué, but this is a safe environment, so let’s share. Sharing is good for the soul.
1. Shave, everything - Get rid, get gone, displace, eject, evacuate, remove any unnecessary hair. Yes, I mean down there too, it makes the lady tree less grizzly and intimidating, in fact it makes it look more feminine and sorta cute, definitely less scary. And your bum, no one likes a hairy bum (I lie, many do) and it will help with other things… Shave your toes too. That’s an order. Hairy toes gross me out. In fact toes gross me out… so, I suppose it makes no difference.
2. Take a bath - Now you’re all silky smooth, run a bath, get a bath bomb, or some bubbles, dim the lights, candles, music, silly pompom thing, rubber ducky the whole shibang.
Get in, lie back, rub your oh so smooth legs together, and relax, it’s the best feeling ever.
3. Masturbate - I know this is scary, and it may seem counter productive. But hear me out… I do it wearing underwear, with a vibrator, though, your hand would suffice, and just… rub… the sensitive bits, y’know, like like some of the peeps who were provided with a vagina from birth do… Once you get over the weirdness and doubt at the start, it feels real nice, sorta right, and empowering.
It also has the added bonus (no pun intended) of relieving sexual tension, which is going to help with the unwanted appearance of the excited lady tree in the morning. So that’s… nice.. right?
4. Nipples - Make them our friends, get acquainted, massage them, knead them, play with them, team playing with them up with the activity listed in number 3. This will associate the act with pleasure, which is how it’s supposed to be, and eventually it will become a pleasurable act by itself, and make them feel more like the boops, instead of useless chest buttons, that don’t even do anything cool like lasers and stuff. Btw, when you get HRT, nipples become a whole new game, oh my days touching them feels good.
5. Bum - Around the bum area, there is a hole (no pun, sorry about that). You can put things in this cavity, kinda like that other cavity downstairs some people have, the one some of us are aiming for. If you are confident enough, do this. It feels… sorta right, to have things going in, and it makes me feel really feminine, and that’s empowering. With a little practice, it become really pleasurable.
Note - if you’re gonna try this, do some research before hand, and be clean.
Edit: A follower pointed out that I missed something VERY important, use things with flared ends, otherwise things are gonna get lost up there, then stuff is gonna get real scary, real quick.
6. Kink - This is not for everyone I know. But do some research on different kinks, and see if anything tickles your fancy, because it can be really great. I am kinky, it works for me, because it makes me feel sexy and sensual, without having to do the actual sex, and that’s good because sex makes me sad. (Note - most kink is non sexual) This is great, because feeling sexy and sensual, and being desired, makes me feel so much better about my body, and that’s what we are aim for here. An added bonus, is the kink community tends to be very open minded, and accepting of things, so it can be a very safe space, and you can be very open… we are not all the monsters the media makes us out to be…
Warning - Avoid any trans based kinks, these can be really triggering, and aren’t really for trans folks with dysphoria.
7. Tea - I like tea.
I know this wont be for everybody, but they are not things that people usually talk about so, that’s my bit.
Followers, please add your coping tips.
Stay lovely everyone
Oh, and before anyone moans about kink or shames me for it, remember that kink is a very important part of mine and others identities, so please be considerate. If you don’t like it, don’t do it… I’m never going to be ashamed by it…
