Heya! I'm a trans dude who recently started dating the coolest nb person ever (how did this happen???? im in awe) and I was thinking about what different genderneutral words for boy/girlfriend there are besides datemate, which they don't like. Thank you for the help!!

  • Partner
  • Boo
  • Lover
  • Datefriend
  • Datepal
  • Soulmate (if you’re like forreal committed)
  • Spouse (if you’re engaged)
  • Significant other (or SO) (or signif)
  • NBfriend (or enbiefriend)
  • Date
  • Sweetheart (or sweetie)

(From this list of gender neutral terms here)

  • Girlboyfriend; queer, for bigender or androgynous people, or perhaps binary trans people.
  • Boygirlfriend; queer, for bigender or androgynous people, or perhaps binary trans people.
  • Paramour; neutral, someone you are having a sexual relationship with.
  • [name]friend; queer, based on girlfriend and boyfriend.
