Everyone experiences dysphoria in different ways. Our dysphoria page might help you learn more about that!

But you shouldn’t have to accept debilitating dysphoria that prevents you from leaving the house. If you’ve tried the coping skills suggested in our dysphoria page, and you still find you can’t leave the house some days, I’d suggest getting a therapist to help you find other methods of coping so you’re still able to live the kind of life you want to. You don’t have to tell your parents you are trans to get a therapist, you could say you’re struggling with depression or anxiety, something like that.
