This week’s prompt is just a bit self-indulgent. It’s @rannadylin’s birthday! So, our prompt this week is to write about a birthday celebration. How does your Watcher celebrate their birthday? Is there a big party at Caed Nua? Perhaps everyone’s on the road at the time and a smaller celebration is called for? Or maybe your Watcher doesn’t even know the date of their birth. Would the companions insist on picking a day to celebrate their life and continued aging, anyway? Are gifts exchanged? Is there cake, or even better – Rauatai Sweet Pie? Alternately, write about someone else’s birthday. One of the companions? An NPC’s? Baby Vela’s birthday? Oh, and one more thing – is there anything special about birthday celebrations in a world where souls are reborn over and over? Do the Watcher’s, or the Awakened companions’, past lives have any role in their birthday celebrations? Are there cultural aspects of birthday celebration that give a nod to its being more truly a rebirthday?
