Bus – operate regularly & service all points of the city
Taxi – cheap, convenient & plentiful for trips outside the main centre
NOTE: Sharjah is a dry emirate, meaning the sale of alcohol is prohibited. Consumption in & transport of alcohol to one’s own home is permissible with a valid alcohol licence. Alcohol is not served in Sharjah hotels, restaurants or other outlets. Also mixing between unmarried men & women is illegal.
