Tailoring Department, Simpson’s, Piccadilly (1936) by Joseph Emberton &  Laszlo Moholy-Nagy

Simpsons of Piccadilly is a large department store designed by Joseph Emberton in Piccadilly, London. It was designed to showcase the clothing range of S.Simpsons and DAKS, and included shop and window displays by artist  Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, during his brief stay in Britain. Moholy-Nagy also worked as a photographer for many magazines and books, as well as designing posters for Imperial Airways, whilst living in London from 1935 to 1937.
