Scarpetta by Scott Conant at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach is an excellent restaurant. I have always enjoyed dining there, so I was very pleased to learn that Scarpetta now offers a delicious Sunday brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., which includes a bountiful buffet plus several appetizing dishes for your Primi and Secondi Piatti. I recently indulged in this delectable Sunday brunch, reasonably priced at $59, plus tip and tax.
All Scarpetta Sunday brunch diners are greeted with a complimentary Aperol Gin Spritz with Gin, Aperol, lemon juice and Prosecco. You can also complement your brunch with unlimited Prosecco, Bellinis, and Mimosas for an additional $25; and unlimited Taittinger Brut Champagne for an additional $50. According to Scott, “After celebrating a decade of Scarpetta, we are so proud to be one of the top Italian dining destinations in South Florida. This is why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Sunday Brunch where we will share some of my favorite mid-morning dishes while also being mindful and staying true to our core values – fresh ingredients prepared simply and deliciously.”
During your brunch you can enjoy the following tempting options from the buffet:
- Timpano Action Station, a celebratory meal featured at most Italian Sunday dinner tables. A testament to Italian food as cuisine with deep soulful roots, just like Scarpetta.
- Frittata Action Station with a selection of ingredients including vegetables, pancetta, crab, fontina, farm fresh eggs, and egg whites.
- Salumi & Formaggi with a selection of assorted Italian cured meats and cheeses, house-baked bread, caponata, and olives.
- Frutta Di Mare with oysters, prawns, octopus, smoked salmon, and mignonette.
- Insalata with a selection of greens, garden vegetables, Caprese, and vinaigrettes.
- You will also be able to savor two Primi Piatti served table-side: Scarpetta’s famous Spaghetti with tomato & basil; and Duck & Foie Gras Ravioli with marsala reduction.
In addition, for your Secondi Piatti you can choose one of the following:
- Fregola & Egg with kale, tomato, pancetta and a poached egg.
- Risotto vegetarian or carbonara.
- Lobster Benedict with fried polenta cake and hollandaise.
- Filet Mignon with asparagus and béarnaise.
- Chicken Parmigiana with charred broccolini.
- Snapper with roasted cauliflower and brown butter.
- Belgian Waffle with berries and salted butter.
For Dolce, you have a tasty selection of artisanal pastries, cakes, panna cotta and confections.
