Flaviyake is a Pop singer-songwriter who takes her name from the Latin source Flavia (‘golden, blonde’) and her favorite Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake. Flaviyake has established a career writing in the Pop and Hip-Hop genres for herself and other artists. She is known for reinventing herself in every new music video – from a human doll with pink hair in “Because I’m a Doll” to the sophisticated young woman in “Los Angeles”.

Flavia was born in Chișinău, Moldova, where she started her musical career by studying the flute and piano at the Sergey Rachmaninov School of Music. She wrote her first song for vocal and piano at the age of 10 and started performing her original songs at clubs at 16. Due to experiencing racism, Flaviyake started writing songs in English. Being born in a Russian family in Moldova she used to be offended because of singing in her native language. At a TV audition, she was said there was no way to build a career singing in her language. That was the last straw and Flaviyake decided to write songs not in Russian, nor in Moldovan, but in English. And that opened for her the whole new world of opportunities.

In 2011, she started performing around London, UK. Her single ‘Because I’m a Doll’ was aired on BBC6 Music Radio by Tom Robinson as well as many others, like CofiRadio, Brooklands and Croydon Radio. Flaviyake has had over 100 live shows in London, UK, blasting her electronic pop in seedy open mics, also performing at the biggest annual Japanese events.

In 2015, Flaviyake got nominated to the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in the genre Pop with her single “Anime Girl” that also got certified as a finalist at the international UK Songwriting Contest and has played on 69 college radio stations in the US.

Lately, Flaviyake has been working on her first album and released her single “Los Angeles” on December 16th. The song was written in the first Flaviyake’s visit to Los Angeles, but she did not have a clear idea of what to write in the Bridge until she met Kevin Kadish, the producer of “All About That Bass”, at the ASCAP expo.
