“Bus Queue–London” watercolor on Arches paper, 14″ x 11″, by Chuck Jones, 1959.

Chuck Jones traveled with a canvas laundry bag full of paints, brushes, pencils, paper, and notebooks. These “travelogues”, in the collection of the Chuck Jones Museum, are full of visual snapshots of places, people, things, and the landscape, along with notes on art and humanity. “Bus Queue–London” was painted while Jones was traveling through northern Europe after visiting his daughter, Linda, and her husband, Robert, in Berlin.
