New Introduction to the Family - Apple iPad Pro 12.9 G2 256GB

As shared before and worth repeating again here, that I see a very clear path in the future of computing for users in general, that laptops and desktops will eventually be replaced by tablets, and that future is already here. image

Well, at least that’s what Apple has begun doing with her latest generation of iPad Pro tablets. For the techies who needs to know, the performance benchmark of my latest investment is pitched neck to neck with 2016′s Macbook Pro in single CPU core processing tasks, while out-performing the same in multi-CPU loads. And that’s not mentioning that the IPP 12.9 is not equipped with the latest A11 hardware.

The Apple iOS 11 framework has blurred the dividing boundary of what conventional Intel-driven machines and Apple-designed tablets can and cannot accomplish, with the latter already taking the leads in replacing my program coding preference, gaming titles, desktop publishings and even 4K video/photo edits (thanks to LumaFusion/Affinity Photo). Yes, my Macbook Pro 15 2015 (Apple is kind enough to honor her with a brand new screen replacement due to a worldwide recall program for smudges) still offers a sturdier keyboard and a bigger screen, but I believe will not be replaced anytime soon, by the more restricted, equally-heavy upgrades.

Its been over 6 months since I brought any of my many laptops to my office, not to mention my work trips abroad - a thing that will continue to stay and only proliferate on my radar.
