"Come on Lorraine," [Biff] said. "You want it, you know you want it, and you know you want me to give it to you." Still the same old subtle swine, Marty thought.
Marty walks up to Biff to get him to stop and he gets real close to him. HOW CLOSE? So close that Gipe tempts himself with mentioning brand names again, but couldn't find a way to have Marty credibly know another brand of 1950s hair tonic so oh well:
Marty took several steps forward until he was stanidng right next to Biff, close enough to tell that the greasy hair tonic he wore was a different brand than his own...close enough to see the mottled complexion and couch his warning in a firm but intelligible whisper. "She said to get your hands off her."
And Biff turns and says "What's it to you, butthead?" which means throw a party because BUTTHEAD COUNT: 3!! To celebrate, check out all those butthead gifs at the top of the page! Woo! PARTYYYYY!
Biff's about to punch Marty but then Mr. Strickland shows up (HOW? HE "SNIFFED OUT A TROUBLE SPOT", THAT'S HOW, STOP QUESTIONING MR. STRICKLAND) and Biff acts way out of character as his expression "softened from hostility to abject terror." Huh? Biff Tannen is abjectly terrified? Seriously? I love Strickland as much / way way more than the next guy, but does everyone in this book only have two emotional settings, NOT FEELING EMOTION and FEELING ABSOLUTE ABJECT EMOTION? Nobody ever feels just, you know, a teeny bit threatened? No? Okay, well that's weird. Gipe then describes our avenging angel as a "despot", as in "Lorraine, also unaware of the despot's entry on the scene, looked at her hero with wide love-filled eyes" which has to be the third reference to Lorraine's eyes being filled with something (FAN THEORY: these things then drip out of her voice later on?). I'm not starting a Lorraine-eye counter though because every time I see a reference to her eyes I think "No, that's definitely the last one. I can't believe it'd ever happen again even one more ti- oops, there's another one." Sit by your home terminal and keep pounding refresh endlessly because I am promising you more DESPOT ACTION tomorrow!!
