The Making of a Poetry Manuscript

I was thinking about how convoluted my process is for my new poetry manuscript; although, I kind of feel like it makes me pay more attention. I drew it out to show someone and thought I’d share. I’ve written and edited all the poems on my iPad and iPad Pro, in Apple’s Pages. I then save a copy in a .docx version in DropBox. Then I open Dropbox from my desktop and move all the poems one by one as I’m ready for them into Word on the Desktop. All the compilation and most of the serious editing is done on the desktop. The poems get moved around too, but they’re probably 80-95% ready once they get put into the manuscript format. I then save a copy of the manuscript back to DropBox. It’s also saved in two directories on my desktop computer and backed up onto an external drive. I often review the manuscript on my iPhone or on my iPad using Dropbox. Dropbox always has the latest version and there are three other versions saved elsewhere. #thestruggleisreal. What’s your approach?
