1. AT LAST.

On Wednesday 16th September we all sat down around the world at different times of the day with one thing in common. Excitement. Well and anxiety but that’s nothing to be excited about. These eluding release dates and price points for the Sony PlayStation 5 consoles have caused us all to wonder if we were going to make it. Excuse the drama, we’re just starting as we mean to go on.

So. Now that we know all the facts the countdown is truly on. On 19th November the latest entry from Sony in the console world will grace us with its presence. A WHOLE WEEK AFTER EVERYONE ELSE? Man. Okay whatever, if anything is true from what we’ve currently seen then this thing will be worth the wait. Sadly it seems people who’ve pre-ordered purely to sell on, also have something worth its weight in gold. God damned scalpers. The less said about them the better.

So what did we see that we liked? Ha. Let’s go over a few highlights shall we?

    FINAL FANTASY XVI

What a way to kick things off. From the responses online you guys were just as in awe of this as we were. Produced by Naoki Yoshida, the exclusive footage comprised of both battles and cutscenes running in real time are said by the man himself to be “but a fraction of what our team has accomplished since the start of development…” - That’ll do for us. Although no mention of a release date, not even “2021″ at the end. We’ve only just picked our jaws up off the floor and hope to know more ASAP. Please.

    Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

So what if we’d seen it before? We hadn’t seen it like this. Did anyone else give it a “PHWOARRR LOOK AT THOSE PUDDLES” as our hero walked through the pop-up street fair? This is looking incredible. We find out more on who we’ll be focusing our fight on with villain The Tinkerer arriving on the scene. If you’re an avid reader of comics then you’ll likely be familiar although the game is bringing a very different take! The fight scenes look to pick up where Marvel’s Spider-Man left off and the desire to shoot some web, beat up some bad guys and save the city is overwhelming at this point.

Arriving at launch on 19th November, you can pre-order both the Standard and Ultimate Edition with us right here!

    HOGWARTS LEGACY

Potter fan or not - you can’t deny this looks next level. Although the young Mr Potter is pretty irrelevant here! Set in the 1800s and long before his parents’ parents’ parents’ were witching and wizarding about, a familiar place in an unfamiliar time is what makes this so appealing. As a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the magical world apart, we will decide its fate. Launching in 2021 - Lets hope spells can be used to make this come quicker!

CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS COLD WAR

Off the books. Under the radar. You know how these things are done. The gameplay trailer above did not disappoint and was delivered in true Call Of Duty style. A night mission on the Trabzon Airfield, Turkey, is where we see this thing get lit up like a Christmas tree. It’s everything you come to expect from the franchise including a scene which crosses between Die Hard 2 and Toy Story. You love to see it. The feedback we’ve had from last weekend’s Alpha has been largely positive and gives us real hope that this will be another roaring success come launch!

We’d just like to thank everyone who’s registered interest in the console so far, those who were able to pre-order, and we’re very sorry to those that were unable to secure one on the first pre-order run. If we’re able to allocate more stock then an email will be sent again providing you’ve registered interest.

    You can register here.

Massive appreciation to everyone for your continued support of us here at The Game Collection!
