IT’S DEAD FUN…

Good afternoon, all! No time for introductions… This one’s got me buzzing! After the initial rumours, things had gone awfully quiet on when or IF this would happen.

As someone that ploughed hours and hours into The House Of The Dead 2 on Dreamcast as a kid, the announcement that the first in the franchise will be remade for Nintendo Switch has made my month! Sadly no sign of a lightgun to accompany the release, but I’ll hold out some hope that it could be confirmed down the line. Even if it isn’t, my joy-cons are locked, loaded and ready for some arcade-style action!

From what little info we have so far, it’ll be a remade version of the game introduced in 1997. A classic arcade rail-shooter with a whole new entourage and gameplay changes to match modern gaming calibre.

With multiple endings available as well as 1-2 player co-op, this is the ultimate nod to fans old and new! I mean who didn’t play this in their local arcade at one point or another?!

Its cheesy humour seems to have stood the test of time and I think this will pack the same deadly swipe that it did in ‘97. Graphical improvements have this looking like more recent releases in the franchise, such as The House of the Dead: Overkill! I’m here for it.

We don’t have a release date yet, but you bet we’ll be waiting like a loaded gun to fire pre-orders onto the website! We’re hopeful it’s in 2021…
